I've posted 3 times in the general anime section, but none of my posts are showing up.
Any ideas why not?

This thread is invisible.
The forum automatically filters posts from new members that it thinks is by spambots. Try starting a thread with no links in it, or making a couple of dozen posts before starting a thread with links.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
LOL, Eris, I just saw your signature. I giggled.
Pretty much this, except that even threads/posts without links might not make it past the filter and will need to be approved by a moderator of whichever section you posted in. Give it a few days and if your posts still don't show up, send the moderator of that section a PM.
Tru Fax: Princess Minako wrestled Jesus... and won
Although, both Flash and myself tend to go through all the moderated posts at least once a day each, so they will get approved, and in the meanwhile, just make more posts ^_^ Once you hit 15 posts the spam filter will stop checking you, and it will no longer be an issue.

Activism is a moderated forum. I believe the little box thing tells you that the administrator may moderate posts to the forum.
Your post goes to a moderation queue. If approved it gets posted to the forum. If not it will either be deleted (you'll be notified) or it will be placed in a forum appropriate for the topic. Check with the Activism mod to ask about the specific threads you posted.
