OPM is the highest rated tv show on IMDB

None of those shows have deep meanings like one punch man of course it would be on the top, now because of one punch man I'm sure other shows will follow and apply deep meanings.

OPM is meant to be more a light hearted parody though? What parts did you find deep? Apart from maybe the scene where Saitama wrecked his own reputation so that the heroes that sacrificed themselves would be recognized, I don't really see what all is really deep about it. Still a great show though, don't get me wrong.

When it comes to complex anime, OPM barely scratches the surface imo. At least so far as the anime has gotten; I'm not familiar with manga yet.

OPM is a parody that is just done really well on standing on his own two feet. A lack luster hero who is humanities last hope.

I mean, it really is a genius Anime. It's incredibly engaging and original, and i look forward to a new episode every sunday :3 me and my friend watch it together every sunday on teamspeak and we just react to the episodes events together, it's great.xD

It's only rated that high because so far only fans of the show have given it a rating. Same with a lot of new releases, it's nothing special. Stuff like this happens on Rotten tomatoes too. Once people who aren't idiots check it out and rate it on IMDB its score will go down.
