Greetings everybody.

Hello there. I may be new to this board, but not new to anime. However, there was a large gap.

I started watching back when Starblazers was on after grade school. I watched various things on and off, until I left home and got married. Then things kind of died down until a few of my older kids discovered it. Then I got back into it. There may be a lot of anime/manga that I'm not up to date on, or even be aware of.

I've always been keen on the anime style over typical american style. I watch other american stuff too, but it just isn't as good, or visually appealing to me. The stories are generally a lot better too.

I look forward to meeting other anime/manga fans, and gain some friends with similar interests as me (horror/drama/romance).

Confetti No Jutsu

I have a 5 year old, and I am sort of the same way. When I got married my anime watching died down significantly and even more so when we had our son. i am slowly introducing it to him with Digimon, and Dragonball on netflix.

Yes and no. I like different genres and of course, there are ones I remember from my youth that always stuck with me. Like G-Force (enlish sub for Gotchaman) when I was a little kid. Princess was my first crush. lol. But I really prefer the horror/drama with some romance thown in. My current liking is Elfen Lied.

Indeed I have heard of Mirai Nikky, but haven't watched it yet. I'm watching Highschool of the Dead (zombies) now, and have a few things lined up, like Blade and Soul. Is Nikky worth watching? I'll add it to my list.

Hotd was enjoyable enough but I found blade and soul lacking somehow. Maybe because the obligatory beach fun time episode didn't come till the end?
