FLCL Returns!

Next weekend, FLCL will be returning to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim/Toonami.

And that's not all. FLCL Progressive and something called FLCL Alternate are coming as well:

Though I must admit I am a bit dubious about the new series. Can the old FLCL magic be recreated?

Regardless, if you haven't seen FLCL, now's your chance. Check it out. Though for some it is an acquired taste.

The Saturday before, on April Fools, Toonami played all their shows after Midnight in Japanese with subtitles. The best part? The first thing they aired was the first episode of FLCL: Alternative. I was so excited. I wasn't keeping up with news that much so to see that an episode was ready and airing in the US was a treat.

I never did finish FLCL back in the day, for no reason other than I didn't have access to it. Glad they are replaying the original before the sequels, so I can finally see it all before then.

I was out of town! And I didn't know about it, so I didn't record it. Damn! Maybe they have an original dub on YouTube. I will have to check it out.
