No, because once the show airs it's not a spoiler. If I knew about it before say... 300 million other people who watch it and told then it's a spoiler. By your logic just if you had not seen "The Wizard of Oz" and someone told you that Dorothy melts the witch with a bucket of water, that would be a spoiler. If it's aired and you have yet to take the time to find out what happened, then I happen to mention it, that does not qualify as a spoiler.

When someone reveals a previously unknown aspect of something which you likely would have rather learned on your own.

Something that could ruin something aobut a game for someone who hasn't played it yet. For example, revealing major parts of the plot or big storyline events to others.


In other words, just because you have seen it doesn't mean it's now not a spoiler. I could understand this argument more if it was a year or 2 later, but you spoiled it 3 days after release!! I said it before, I'm saying it again. You're an asshat.

Ah there is is. The key word is "Unknown". A spoiler is unknown to the general public. If an individual is ignorant of it that is hardly the fault of people who wish to discuss it with others after it has happened.

If I had posted about the Korrasami ending say the day or week before people saw it then it would be a spoiler. It's not my fault yo failed to keep up with the series.

The same applies for people who whine about talking about a book that was published 5 years before they decided to make a movie out of it. For example the new Disney movie "Into the woods" has been a play for many years. If people wish to discuss said play, is that a spoiler for the movie?

How is it even possible to spoil something before it's released unless your somehow in the creation team? That makes no sense.

A spoiler is a spoiler whether thousands know it or not. We have spoiler tags for a reason in forums. They aren't for people with precognitive powers who can predict the future to use, so they don't spoil things for others.

I can agree there is a leniency towards a long period of time towards release, say a year or 2 after. But I still think there is a matter of respect that comes with that, trying not to spoil things for others. Not everyone is going to follow your strict time frame to watch things to avoid spoilers and they shouldn't have too.

This isn't on topic so I'm going to end this here. I've said what I wanted to say, I've put my point across but you seem to not understand where I'm coming from. Do what you want, all I ask is that you at least put it in spoiler tags next time you wish to discuss something like that.
