You play visual novels I've started a poll to figure out how many users are interested in Visual Novels. Here's a whole thread dedicated to Visual Novel games. Can discuss what platforms you use or game recommendations. (only recommend PG-13 please)

So far I only played one. Lux Pain. Pretty visuals, nice character design, boring as hell.

I don't play them as often as my time allows me to nowadays but I played a lot of them, Clannad, obviously being one of my favorites (as it's one of my favorites Anime as well).

The only one I actually completed so far was Rewrite, which I would highly recommend to anyone who likes Key based sad stories (though it devoates from normal Key works due to different writers within Key). I've also put a lot of time into Little Busters, but again, that's Key.

A non-Key title I found to be excellent would be Symphonic Rain. I'm most of the way through, but just the three routes I completed were amazing. Great story and feelings, good characters, nice bgm and setting, another one I would recommend.

I cannot mention any of the others I've partially read due to site rules


Keeping it PG-13 actually cuts a majority of VNs out since 18+ material is a selling for for VNs in Japan.

Only one I can think of that is PG-13 would be Narcissu. Really short and simple VN, though it does pack quite a punch for being what it is. It's free as well, so highly recommended.

Considering how the Anime only covered the main route. (and the OVAs covered the Kyou and Tomoyo route) ...Then yes it's worth it.

I read some of Clannad's VN, but I dunno, I got bored after a couple routes, and I covered Tomoyo's who had that OVA I loved.

However thats rated above PG13 ;P HOWEVER Four Leaf Studios took part in a short visual novel perfect for all ages called Delz. Its simple with a "WTF" ending, however the true ending may catch you by surprise in a good way
