"der Jäger" (at the beginning and in the middle of the Song) isn't correct. It is "die Jäger". I've seen the other thread about this, so I know about that lyrics booklet. But I have been a german for my whole life and I clearly hear "die". Particularly in the middle, when they say it four times. They sing "die Jäger".
Either is it an error in the booklet (maybe the writer isn't that fluent in german ) or they sing it wrong. Either way, I think a note would be good. And the translation here is also wrong, if you keep "der". "der Jäger" is singular, so it's "the hunter". If the translation "the hunters" is also written in the lyrics booklet, that would be another indication for "der" being an error, because "die Jäger" ist the plural of "der Jäger".

Look, I hear it as "die" too, but that's not what the official lyrics say and where official lyrics exist, that's what we put on the site, end of story.

Also, no, there are no English translations in the lyrics booklet. Why would there be? It's a largely Japanese song for Japanese audiences. As far as I remember they don't gloss it in Japanese either, but Japanese doesn't do plurals in the first place so if they did it wouldn't help.

I'm sorry if I sound annoyed, but as you know, this isn't the first time I've had this conversation, and I wish people could respect what our policies are in this regard even if they don't like them.

I understand that and I don't expect you to change your policies for me. I just suggest adding a note that explains the difference between the song you hear and the lyrics on your site. Just one or two sentences, saying that the lyrics are taken from that booklet that says it's "der Jäger" and that it is "die Jäger" in the actual song (or that people hear it as "die"). Is this also against the policies? (I thought, I've seen notes in other lyrics on this site.... of course I don't remember the name of the song. -_- Maybe I'm mistaken.)

In the other thread you wrote, you're not sure how to handle the german stanza. (So I assume, there is no rule approaching this issue.) What about writing this part in another font-color or in italics and adding a note that explains that this stanza is in the song but not in the lyrics booklet?

And at last: You said the original translator should have the chance to change the translation. That was six months ago and he/she has been absent for 3 years. Isn't that long enough? The translation of "der Jäger" as "the hunters" is clearly wrong, so I think it should be changed (if it's not against you policies).
