Your favorite Black or Darker Skinned people in anime

Since a lot of anime is made in Japan and other countries where they don't have a lot of black/darker skinned people (i'd say African American, but we're talking other countries so...) there aren't a whole lot of people with dark skin in animes. When there are there are usually only a couple.

 

(Including any who may have been edited out my morons.)

So out of those you know, who are your favorites?

For the record it's not really a race issue (well not these days... I won't speculate on the 80s and earlier) so much as it's easier to draw pasty faced people in manga than spend time shading.

My favorite dark skin color character is probably Blue Mr. Popo. Because blue is just an awesome color, and he completely skirts around racist racial profiling in animation with such a bright blue color. Mad props for beatin' the FCC, Mr. Popo! I salute you.

First one that comes to mind is Dutch from Black Lagoon- just an overall dynamic character
And though the series borderlines on stereotypes, Michiko from Michiko and Hatchin. She's just a badass

Random - and not sure if this falls really here but Kyosuke Takakura from Nana.
But, just wondering...do you feel like this is a "white-washed" character in the anime, or was he japanese ancestry who just wore dreads? :]

I liked his sense of humor and how he acts around girls, its cute.

Anywho, I also really liked April from Darker than Black

Her blue hair is awesome and her fashion-esque british style XD <3 and of course her personality ^^

 

Anyway..its a little sad though that her remuneration is to drink copious amounts of alcohol...but at least she seems to like it :/

Since we said "Darker skinned," Ill go with Major Miles from Full Metal Alchemist. While scar was the rage induced destruction machine. Miles was the calm collected smooth talker which I liked a little better.
