Noob needs help at Dark Soul's game

I HAVE BEEN STUCK ON TARURS DEMON FOR 6 STRAIGHT HOURS NOW!!!! REPEATIDLY KILLING ALL THE LITTLE ZOMBIES GETTING THE LITTLE AMMOUNT OF SOULS THEY DROP! I HAVE LEVELED UP 19 TIMES AND STILL CANT BEAT IT!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT A CHALLANGE THIS IS JUST SO THE GAME CAN LAUGH AS IT BEATS YOU.....help >.>....

I haven't played the game, mostly for the reason you are showing now. Maybe check youtube for walkthroughs or google for hints?

I was scared to get this game for the same reason. I'm not a fan of games that are hard for the sake of being hard and without a difficulty switch to easy you into it. Which is why I still love Devil May Cry

1st. chill out maing


-right when you come out of the door, go down the steps and turn around. on the left you'll see a latter. Climb up it, and kill the two zombie dudes with the arrows.
-then take off as much armor as you need to make sure your character can run as fast as possible. The easiest way to kill the demon is to walk along the wall until he appears. then IMMEDIATELY turn around and run back as fast as you can and climb back up the latter.
-The demon will come to the side of the wall then. as soon as he looks up, run off the edge and do a drop attack. If you wait too long, he'll jump on top of the thing with you and you will die.
-as soon as you've done this attack, start running down the wall again. Then wait for him to come to you, dodge his attack, and then run back up the latter and do another drop attack.
-then just keep doing those two things till its dead.
-get it away from the wall, quickly run back to the wall and up the latter, drop attack to the face!

and hey, i did tell you to try Demon's Souls first. Cuz this taurus dude is easy. I'm curious to see how you handle the bridge that comes after you kill him.

Actually, if that person takes the time to get Astora's Straight Sword and Crest Shield right after arriving in Lordran, everything up to a certain point will be easier. I would also recommend that after killing the demon, that they have a bow, a bunch of arrows and the minimum Dexterity to use said bow, for the Drake Sword, which requires 16 Strength. If at all possible, they should also try for the Titanite Catch Pole. If they can't get it, they can trade for it. It is absolutely amazing to get. They'll also need to go get the key to the asylum, for the Rusted Iron Ring, for Blighttown, which they can access if they want to after grabbing the Straight Sword and Crest Shield, since Blighttown has an exit right there. It requires the Master Key in the build somehow, though. I could go on and on about strategy, and how to get great equipment early and whatnot, but for now, this shall suffice.

There are many strategies you can use to go through the game. Yours seem to rely largely on acquiring the right equipment. I play the game by never getting hit in the first place. Once you get that down, it doesn't matter how damaging your weapon is, or how many hits you can take. And so much more fun when the battles last

That is pretty boss, but no matter how great you think you are at dodging, the game will come and stab you in the stomach. The Crest Shield is there to defend 100% of Physical Damage, which is amazing for an early shield. The Fire Damage Reduction is great too, considering how much fire is used in this game. I would recommend saving Lautrec, if only to toy with him, cause:

 

He can be fodder for you when fighting the Gaping Dragon in the sewers. Hint: Cut the tail off. After that, and after you ring the second bell is when I think he kills the Firekeeper and heads to Anor Londo. If you kill him before that, all you get is Humanity and his ring. If you kill him in Anor Londo, you get that, plus his armor set. Choice is yours.

Anyways, upgrading your weapons and armor are also required. Don't upgrade the shield, cause all you get from it from what I've seen is just some more Stability, which you really don't need. If you got that Rusted Iron Ring, then hopefully you got the Peculiar Doll, because:

 

There is a painting in Anor Londo that requires it to access an optional area. You can't leave it without falling off at the end near Priscilla, when prompted I believe, so be prepared. There is a Black Phantom encounter that you should do. The armor is found on the corpse right near the exit of the area, so beat him, then go to Priscilla. It's pretty good, and one of my builds utilizes it. I recommend obviously having patience and that Crest Shield, cause some Pinwheel Skeletons are there guarding a switch I believe, and they make me angry.

There is some info for the later parts. Later, when I come back from school, I'll have probably more info to share, regarding what to do about The Four Kings and why there's a boss that is ridiculous.
