Do you smoke?

I started out as a social smoker and now I have 2-3 cigarettes a day; unless I'm drinking, then the number of cigarettes goes up. I've quit before and recently picked it back up.

Would I smoke if I had children or if there were small children in my household? Absolutely not. If I am with someone I know doesn't smoke I usually will wait to have a cigarette.

I wish all the smokers were that resonable and respectfull as you are
I feel kinda astonished when I see parents smoking inches away from their 2 year old chil or even newborn, they just seem not to care!

Do I wish I never smoked? Yes, lol. Can I quit? Probably. Do I want to? Nope.

Just curious on how many anime goers smoke. To be honest, I've met quite a bit. I realize that to the non-smokers it's a disguisting habit; and to all who have not smoked, I say keep to it! It costs WAY too much, and the health effects are quite large and abundant. However; I quit for almost a year and started up again like it was the next day after quiting. My life has adapted to it so well, and hanging out with the smoking community doesn't help any. If anything serious happens in the future health wise it'll probably give me the jump I need to quit; but until then, I'm afraid I'm stuck.

So, do you smoke? Thoughts on it?

I Usto smoke a lot and I've quit for some time now, the keys are , what worked for me, was don't hang around smokers, get the gum or losingees, and wing yourself slowly, meet people who aren't smokers. And most of all you gotta deep down really want to quit! And I promise you will!!! I'll help u if u want

And make it clear that as @xMatt ix said, if you REALLY want to quit on smoking you WILL DO IT (I remember the case of my grandfather who, as said before, smoked a lot from 17 to about 65 years old and gave up on smoking when the doctor told him it was the only way to keep alive, not smoking a single cigarette from that time on), remember, you're always stronger than whatever you think you are!

I advise you not to do that, if you don't really don't want to start smoking as an habit. There are a lot of people you just say "I'll smoke just once to feel how's it like" etc and a lot of them fall to get addicted, but that's just an advice :P
The better way for addictions is just not to start them at all, specially when, as for cigarettes, you know how seriously they can be for your health.

F**kin A kid. No one gets addicted to smoking from one cig. lol you're thinking about meth. I've been smoking for 4 years now. quit for a month cuz a friend bet me i couldn't do it. I made $100 off of that bet. Its all a mind game. some can handle it, some can't. I do it cuz i enjoy it. The people who get addicted are the ones who do it cuz they feel they need to.
But it doesn't matter who you are, one cig won't get you addicted.

My dad smoked for years, quit cold turkey after his step dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. I never had the idea of sticking a smoldering cancer stick to my face, never will.

ironic cuz i started when my uncle got lung cancer 4 years ago. never touched a stogie in his life. I said f**kit at that point. as i always say, i don't wanna make it fast 60. as soon as i need viagra, i'm out.

I agree 1000% with what you said, even not having any smoking experience, but the problem is that not everyone (at all) are mentally that strong as you seem to be

I loooooove True spirit brand. Just 100% tobaco without all that other garbage in cigaretes. There just kind of pricy. I used to smoke menthol camels, but that was a long time ago. Now it's just plain tobaco, and somtimes pot.

Same for me :P but they have all the right to smoke, freedom is exactly that, as soon as they don't mess up with non-smokers freedom of not being passive-smokers
