i'll kick off. i had one of these as a boy in the late-1980's. it was pretty darned awesome, so far as 80's toys went at least.
Over-The-Road Commercial Trucking was something of a pop-culture fad in the U.S. back then.
this toy of the lead hero's gimmick-laden vehicle from the T.V. Series "M.A.S.K." was itself laden with cool "Realistic" gimmickry such as opening cab doors and such...

I was a huge fan and collector of those giga pet virtual keychain toys. I had Barbie, Rugrats, tamogotchi, 101 Dalmations, nano teddy, sabrina the teenage witch and the little mermaid

funny thing is that despite MACHINE ROBO/GO BOTS' classic position as the poor boys' TRANS FORMERS, on average,
the GO BOTS examples were WAY better made than most TFs, with FAR more metal content and a much more rugged overall design.

too bad that that was so roundly counterbalanced by the fatally derpy-looking robot mode of pretty much every GO BOTS offering ever fielded...

Also I was a huge fan of puzzles. I could be occupied for hours if someone gave me one. I'm sure my parents appreciated that xD

Also, original game boy, I had a game boy pocket, N64 and original nintendo.
My parents often got me drawing supplies as a kid or random stuffed animals. I have oodles of stuffies at my dads that I should probably do something about :3

Cant forget the one thing I played with more than any toy in the world. Nobody can honestly say they didn't play with this as a kid. IMAGINATION AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as did a great many of the then still-young Baby Boomers.

it was all part of a 1980's trend within the younger generational brackets to rebel against the Stuffed-Shirt "Hoity-Toity" upper-class culture of the Boomers' own parents and grandparents,
often filtering right on down to the younger generations of the Boomers' own children,
all of which unitedly rebelling in similar fashion against the same "Proper" cultural patterns within the elder elements of their own families.
all of this, by extension, was also where the huge 1980's fascination with "Horror" Films derived from. This was all considered exceptionally "Edgy" and "Cool"

Needless to Say, many individuals within the Entertainment and Children's Media industries, doubtless Boomers themselves,
were indeed quick to see great opportunity to capitalize in this great swell of rebellious counter-culture,and tucked right in with all due gusto,
beginning right around the mid/late-80's, the sweeping "Immature" Pop-Counter-Culture phenomenon that lasted all through into the 1990's...
