The cast pebble,
penetrates and permeates the calm exterior.
The ripples which spread,
so hypnotising, carry the burden of anguish.
That, which is seen,
Although truly felt, lasts only a fleeting moment.
Without a trace,
equilibrium returns to the exterior.
Serene once more,
that which was felt is no longer seen; a clever facade.
Lying beneath,
the heart, formerly untouched, tainted eternally.
