slightly early, but it's close enough.
I don't think there were nearly enough titles this year, (I blame the economy) but next year should be far better as the recession is (supposed) to be over already.
your thoughts?

The recession wont be over for a few years. Even then I don't think things will go back to the way they where in '08. People are gonna be a lot more conscious about what they buy. Is it getting better? Yes, it is. As for releases next year I do think it will be better. Especially if price competition for the holiday season is any indication.
I beg to defer, I could list a huge list of the games I enjoyed for all 5 platforms, and we still have long-waited games yet to release. As for 2011, I do believe it has a great potential to beat 2010.
But with many games close to releasing, and with this current state, people really to make sure what they buy. Also, I would like to point out the discussion of how the PS3 will have the ability to play in 3D with the need a HDTV 3D, like those are over $3000, so that's a lot of money in hand. Even if I wanted to, there's no way in heck I could possibly afford for that.

So far I enjoyed Halo Reach. I'm waiting on Black Ops which I'm picking up for the tournament tomorrow as well as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.

Hands down the two best games that are coming out are Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Black Ops for the 360. Halo: Reach maybe, maybe even Kirby's Epic Yarn.

I've got a few submissions for when the 2010 recap awards roll around: Red Steel 2 as The Most Improved Sequel, Metroid: Other M as The Most Different Sequel or Most Divisive Sequel, and Lost Winds 3 for Game The Developers Need to FINALLY Start Working on Before I Go Over to the UK and Beat Them Until They Start Working on it Because Seriously How Long has it Been Since Lost Winds 2.
Although for so far as my buying habits go for this year, I noticed that I've bought more older games than newer. Rome: Total War, some Good Old Games titles(plus the 90$ dollars worth of old school RPG on my wishlist), the like.
All my Let's Plays can be found here!
Currently LPing: Rome Total War:
Latest Update:
Chapter 3: The Last King of Carthage.
Start from the beginning:
Chapter 1: Sicily Unified.
Lost Winds 2 was released in 2009, in September..
Yeah, I so want a Lw3.

I'm disappointed to be honest. This year's theme was Fanservice. None of the games really had any meat to them, just something to hold the fanboys over until next year....which will be just as bad. But hopefully I get to go to E3 this time >_>
The recession has been over since mid 2009; the recovery is still on-going.
2010 didn't have many games that appealed to me, Pokemon HeartGold and Bayonetta being the stand-outs.
I'm highly anticipating 2011, though. Portal 2, Guild Wars 2, Dragon Age II, Pokemon Black&White, and inFamous 2.
"The color fades along the intervals I follow."
Well yeah, if you want to get technical. I meant recovery either way.
I'm quite sad about how all of the games I anticipate don't release till 2011 or 2012. Like LBP2 and portal do not release till next year and Bioshock Infinite [the game I REALLLLLLY want doesn't release till 2012] I'm thinking about getting Black-Ops and AC: Brotherhood this year in December when hopefully there's a price drop for them.

New Vegas delivered. Mass Effect II was one of the high points of the year as well.
Beyond that, there was like Starcraft II, which was okay but didn't really stand out in terms of graphics or gameplay.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
Yeah, I know..I was just teasing but still, I wouldn't disregard them just because they weren't released in my region...because I'm enable to acquire it legally, it was released for me.
Same for Final Fantasy XIII and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, 2009 releases on my book. Just Sayin'
EDIT: Not to mention I got all four in their original releases, more of a reason to go by those dates. ^_^;

It seems the money I paid is going to be well worth it. Black Ops is looking great and Hot Pursuit is going to be easily one of the racing titles I must get my hands on.

So far its been alright with fallout new vegas and COD black ops being released other than that 2010 has been weaker than weak that is until CATACLYSM! Comes to life... Yeh thers been other good games released this year but ... Iforgot what i was gonna say haha peace!
Amnesia The Dark Decent was wonderful and quite a fresh frighting take on survival horror.S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat was an nice edition to end the first part of the series and finally got all the bugs out making it a very immersive and really addictive.
It was a pretty disappointing year as i too found myself buying older games, on a side note i don't know why i was so late on buying DMC4 but i know what is gonna be my game to beat this month. well that is until dead space 2 but that is for another time. this year though now that has promise, dead space 2, as much as i hate to say it gears of war 3 shows good improvements and whatever other games come out this year i'm forgetting. maybe resistance 3 i forget if that's this year or next so feel free to correct me.
Set made by me
"Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's going to burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm going to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
Last year started out on a high note for me ( Mass Effect 2, Bad Company 2) and after that nothing really interested me with the exception of Arma:2 Operation Arrowhead and I still need to upgrade my CPU to play that one properly.
