Props for mentioning Muramasa, though I came in here to chime in for ALL of Vanillaware's games. George Kamitani's art is amazing and the man does wonderous things with 2D graphics. Out of all their games I'd have to go with Odin Sphere for art and design

All uncharted characters are pretty well designed in my oppionion. the only character who could use a better design is Lazaravic because those scars give me the creeps
