I love Entry B to be real honest. The design is really nice and its well done, but its not capturing the theme of "lightning". I don't see it at all. I just see the text that has "lightning" but there's no lightning-like feel to it.

It doesn't have to be a good looking signature, it needs to understand the theme and what is really asking for. Entry A gets my vote on that. The person understands what they're doing when making it. Its real nice too, but I wish that they would do a little more to it to make it look real better. I like them both, but I get the lightning feel to the signature.

Frankly, I'm going to have to go with Entry A.

Yes, they both say "Lightning" in them, and yes I love Lightning from XIII, but Entry B is just more appealing to me. Probably because of the darker colors. Pink and I don't roll very well together.

Entry A gmv. I love how the text is the main focus but the guy on the side (I'm guessing Percy?) helps to balance out the right side. The fonts work well, and the colors are pretty great as well. Nice job!

I was going to vote for A, but then I noticed that they misspelled "thief" >.>

Entry B GMV. It's a pretty piece with great colors and composition.

This has been bugging me a long time now, but allow me to say the following:

Why are there only two entries?

I was hoping to see more than two this week.

B is better composed, has better colour use, a better usage of background (again, with the C4Ds I'm guessing?) and a much much better quality than A, but in all honesty, what does B, have to do with lightning? You could basically put any word there and it'd still look nice.

Then again A is the complete opposite. It fits the theme perfectly but I can't pull out a single good composition within the work. The text is diagonal, Percy is on the right, there are waves at the left and a bunch of filters are put over it. It's a mess with no solid hold on for the eye to focus on. It would've worked better had the person who made this put Percy in the dead center and surround him with lightning. Percy looks so dynamic, so why don't you use it to your advantage?

Tip for future SOTW participants: when you make your entry, please think. What should I put where, why should I put it there? Look at Serated's works. Everytime he participates he wins or ends up second. And it's not because he's 'so pro at photoshop and stuff', no, he thinks. He chooses his size (not randomly), chooses his render carefully, makes up a solid composition as a basis to work on and slowly adds elements to his composition to make it work.
Don't randomly choose something, put it in the middle/left/right/diagonal of your work, copy the layer 5 times, add 3 effects, add a background, add more effects and think it's done.

Oh. Right. B gets my vote. But only because A mispelled thief, whether it was intended as a joke or not.

My money is on B, since the text is the right size and use of colors was spot on IMO.

My vote goes to A.

They're both well made and I really like them both but as people have already said, Entry B does not portray the lighting theme in my opinion.
