Most of the time things are simple enough to figure out on their own without much help.

But, you know, you can't always count on people to use common sense. Sometimes, you need to spell it out for them; step by step so that it's fool-proof.

What are some of your 'Orders of Operations' to help aid those who need understand the processes of the world?

Well you kind of have to tell people NOT to drive if they're going to drink. Or else NOT to drink if they plan on driving.

Oh and lol on the equation usertitle. lol. I know it has to do with gravity, but Sigma forgot name.

It's sort of a vague question, because it depends on the concept being taught.
Usually I try to give an example or an analogy. The problem with that though is sometimes people will focus on irrelevant parts of the analogy.

Dunno, but many people seem to have a common sense issue with computers in general... Most notably with things that are not only quite intuitive and straight-forward, but also well-documented that a completely clueless person can learn without having to ask or even Google it.

No offense, but I hate Googling stuff, I'd rather get someone to explain it.

Hmm. I originally thought this thread was about algebra, and hence had nothing to post in it ... but since it's not:

Common sense is overrated. I'd rather just do things that don't make sense and see what happens.

Like this one girl at the computer lab who was seemingly around (17 give or take), trying to force a CD (in it's case) through the CD tray without pressing the "eject" button. At first I was going to help her, but then I figured it was more fun to let someone that stupid broadcast it, and then eventually just give up in favor of doing something that didn't require quite as much effort, like watching the OC.

I left while she was exclaiming "stupid computer!" like, you know. The computer was the one who needed to get a clue.
