But others... well yeah I skip them at times but it depends on what the thread is about.

I skim threads and if there are replies longer than five words, or if people start getting into quotes and whatnot, I tend to start reading in earnest.

And to add to my first post, I do read what other people write, especially during discussion threads. If I didn't read any them I wouldn't post so much in the same thread and I wouldn't quote people so many times.

I'll generally read all the replies unless the topic is several pages long in which case I'll read a page or two and the last page before making my own response.
I have a fascination of sorts with seeing the vastly differing views people sometimes hold, even on the most mundane things.

I read other peoples' posts, as long as they are short. I will only read long posts if they are directed at me or if they are dedicated to an interesting topic, otherwise I do not have the patients.

I usually do but if they are just back to back replies not really discussing anything I'll perform a 'C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!' type post and say something either funny or outright stupid having nothing whatsoever to do with the topic.

People could say the same thing about the religious or scientific threads. I personally like to read each post, provided they are of a reasonable length. Or if I know the person, i wil deffinitely read it.

I do read all the posts in a threa d that calls my attention, or actually has some value.

Otherwise, I don't read them. Like, I didn't read the HW thread, and I just posted and never went to the thread again.
