Who wants to make bets that this "Kinect' is going to fail? Lawl, like even the developers disapprove of it, like really. Kinect is super garbage.

You never know, a gaming company can be good if they deliver as they committed.

Like Raven Studios, they didn't have any good games until X-Men Origins: Worverine came out. Now that was a surprise.

Give them time and then lets see what happens.

If they fail, well, that's one less competition to worry about. If they succeed, well, we'll find out...

If E3 was any indication to anything, it's going to suck. I felt sad watching it, because most of it was about some game with an animal named "Skittles" and such. Sure, it could be fun to use for certain games, but showcasing that idea with those games didn't work for me. Maybe it's because I own a PS3, or just something else. I actually preferred the Move for PS3. That Sorcery game made me feel like my PS3 was actually a good choice. Who knows though.

To clarify, the "demonstration" at E3 used a pre-made video of the game, and the people on stage pretended that they were making the games move as they did.

But, yeah, the "Kinect" is a good idea (with a horrible name) that just isn't going to work as it is now; they'd need to refine how the system monitors the motion of the player, because as it stands it seems as though it could become very glitchy. They've essentially made a more advanced version of the Playstation Eye (which never did well and had iffy performance), so I'm not expecting much in regard to its performance.

I think the Kinect will succeed....

...because of all the people into motion control crap.
While I despise these kinds of things (won't be buying Kinect or Move and I favour Wii games allowing classic or gamecube controllers), there's a definite market for them.
Even if it's just little kids and casual gamers.

A lot of newer gaming hardware these days seems to get some developers stating it's harder to work with.

But it's not about Kinect itself. It's about developers having problems with it. The Kinect might be well constructed but, the developers are still having trouble developing their games for it, and I am not surprised we could see a few delays for some of those games. So that is why I can came into a conclusion that since Kinect is hard to work with, developers are just going to stick to buttons(The Wii has buttons too lol), meaning Kinect will not have a lot of games on the market.

The Kinect is like a a perfect version of the PSEye so that's make it too limited, so that's why is very hard to work with.

Some developers said the same thing about PS3.
The deciding factor was that others played to it's strengths instead of harping about it and the PS3 now has some of the best exclusives this generation.
I believe there has already been enough support for Kinect announced that those it would appeal to would definitely have something to spend their money on.

We'll see. Well, Valve still despises the PS3, even though they are still releasing Portal 2 for it. So, like I said, we'll just see. Since the Kinect seems more harder, some might see it as a challange and actually do it.

About he PSMove, I'll get it alright, but not at day of the launch. Why? Because all there is will be casual games, so I'll wait for those non-casual games. While I do favor buttons mostly, it would be fun to play with it too.

I don't like motion controls and I could care less about having them for my console. If you look at the Wii 95 percent of their games are lazy shovelware crap with motion controls tacked on. I think the Kinect and the Move are both going to see a bunch of crappy games like all of the game demos I've seen for the move so far.

People need to get it in their head: gamers want handheld controllers, not motion controls. While Kinect did seem promising, I never really expected it to do well. People complain about wiimotes and whateveryoucallsonysripoff, they'll complain about this as well. Maybe if they put more time into it then they'd have something, but not now.
