You come back from an out of town vacation and you had no idea that the town/city where you live is now infested with flesh eating zombies. Now, you're sort of trapped and things get crappy. What will you do?

If I learned anything from resident evil, its that I should suit up with an Eaglehawk, an S75, and any handgun available (since there is ammo for it everywhere). And better not forget the first aid can spray.

I have learned something from Zombie movies it is to always travel in groups (if traveling use some sort of car/bus), have weapons for ranged and close combat, first aid gear, and loot food from different places.

So this is what I would do

1. Gain weapons
2. Look for first aid gear.
3. Find Vehicle.
4. Look for survivors (DO NOT EXIT THE CAR)
5. Find spot to loot food.
6. Get place to defend self.
7. Wait for rescue.
8. ???
9. PROFIT/FAIL!

I've got enough lawnmower gasoline (and other stuff) to make about 7 molotovs, but I'd try to get to Walmart since they have swords and guns and supplies and the like.

The moment my eyes catched the title of this thread, I almost read it as "Zombie zombies" -- zombies that died and became zombie-eating zombies. That wouldn't be a bad idea, I guess.

If that would happen, I'd spread the zombie zombie virus and watch zombies eating each other. That would be my counter-plan against the zombie apocalypse.

I'd get my guns and vehicle, go to the pawn shop on 10th St and get some more guns and ammo, and then I'd get on one of the taller rooftops, and take as many of them out as possible. Or maybe I'd go to the mall to pick up chicks on the way to the rooftop.

Either way, if I ran into Mekhi Phifer I'd shoot him so he didn't bring a zombie spawn into our midst and then shoot everyone up trying to protect it.

people here post stuff bout guns like they are some videogame heroes. Of course it's fun to fantasize, but just how serious is the gun problem out there. I can sorta undertand this from americans where guns are more numerous than ppl, but i wonder how many of you have actually handled a gun. Army service is mandatory in finland, so I know how to handle a 7.62 assault rifle and it's not easy stuff. True, zombies can be killed even close range and guns are always the safest option against them, but I doubt a first-timer would be able to deal much damage.

According to an Actual zombie survival guide (yes, there's a seriously written one) the best bets to survive a zombie apocalypse are a crowbar, shotgun and an ak-47.
1. the crowbar is the perfect melee weapon due to it's light weight and sturdy built, best used to either smash heads or stab them with the pointy end. It can also be used to break windows and open doors.
2.shotgun saves you from the pain of aiming, making it a good ranged weapon for close-range combat.
3. ak-47 is more reliable and simpler to maintain (in the finnish army where the assault rifles are also based on ak-47, we dissamble and clean the guns each time after shooting. takes no more than 10 mins due it's simple build.) than the more complicated us assault rifles.

yeah, and having friends, a reliable big van and a rescue party with an assault helicopter helps too.

I'd run away 'cause the zombies ate my neighbors and left me for dead. The undead residents are evil and I would look for many barrels with the biohazard and utilize them out of cold fear. I'd probably be the last guy alive, but hopefully I'll find other corpse killers. To make my getaway, I would leave at night from the city of the dead and hit the highway, since there's nothing out there but dead space.
