Moeblob shows. I like stories, and progression, and thought, and female leads that aren't completely objectified little girls so as to attract a 20+ male audience that is attracted to naive, ditsy, semi-retarded children they want to coddle.

Lolicon shows. I'm not a pedophile. I like stories, and progression, and thought, and not the pantyshots and nudity of 10 year old girls.

School Fantasy. Sure, we all watched these at one point or another. You have some kids in highschool, and its just another generic drama/romance/comedy show, but with a theme tacked on to it. Magic (To Aru Majutsu no Index), lesbians (To Aru Kagaku no Railgun), summons (Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu), mages (Negima and a large assortment of others), martial arts (too may to count), bla bla bla. They've become to anime what sitcoms are to US primetime.

I almost fully agree, but for School Fantasy, some are still pretty good. For the most part, I avoid them like the plauge, but some still manage to catch my attention from time to time. Heck, that theme kept shonen alive for a good long while.

Upon a closer look, K-On is not a terrible show...once you take out that Azu girl and Mio stops being retarded. There are two scenes in every episode that are kinda cool, but there's just too much crap in each episode.

Be careful with this; shows like BECK and Aria are also considered Slice of Life, despite the amount of moeblob that as polluted the genre.

I'm a 0 on the Kinsey Scale and I enjoyed Ouran. If you get past the fact that the ending is nonexistent and the guys are somewhat homosexual, it's a great show for all heterosexual males.

Any genuine lolicon stuff (which moe is NOT, I'd wish people would get that through their skulls), as that stuff is just creepy, and anything that's just so focused on fanservice and nothing else that it's insulting to intelligence. Nothing other than that though, closing my mind to any series I've never even seen just seems dumb IMHO. At least watch an episode or two before writing something off.

Nobody acts gay (and what's wrong with that anyway?) in Ouran except for the twins, and the show makes it insanely clear that it's all just a show for their female fans. Any guy writing it off for some silly fear like that is just being silly.

Well, I never like to swear off one anime genre completely because I really believe that any genre has its gems.

But I will not watch:

*Hentai
*Mech shows from the 60s-70s.
*Anything designed by Peter Chung. Like Reign The Conqueror. Dude, your art....WTF?
*Fist of the North Star and shows like that. Ugly men beating the crap out of other ugly men just does not appeal to me. XD
*Male-crossdressing shows....you know, the type where it's all pretty girls in frilly dresses on the cover, then the synopsis explains that everyone is MALE and you go WTF.

I'm not a lolicon. I'm not even a guy. I am a straight, female young adult, who loves cute things, drama, realism, emotional situations, and sweet relationships of all types (family, romantic, friendship etc). If a lolicon series has these things to offer me, then yes, I will be watching it, thank you.
