Signature of the Week #89 Voting

Theme: Spring


Rules and Guidelines:

1) No campaigning for votes in this thread for your own or any other signature. Any posts of that type will be removed and the entry will be disqualified. Similarly, do NOT post negative comments regarding signatures you’re not voting for. The idea is to have each individual decide on their own favorite without any undue outside influences.

2) You are entitled to vote for any signature submitted in this competition EXCEPT your own. You are voting for ONE signature, and please state a reason why you voted. Voting for a signature using multiple accounts will result in votes not being counted.

3) Not following rule 2 will result in your vote being deleted unless otherwise edited.

4) Any reference to subjects like missed deadlines, entering, not entering, are NOT tolerated. It provides a clear indication of who may (not) be involved in the competition, while potentially 'giving away' entries. Disclosure of signature author, be it yours or another participants, will result in BOTH signatures being disqualified from the competition and or disciplinary action.

Entry B gets my vote.

The simplicity really is detriment to this pieces success, And the flower petals to fit the theme of spring is beautifully done. Its a nice clean simple piece.

Gah! So hard to decide @_@ I'll have to go with Entry A though. While they're both very well made, I like the text in entry a better. The use of blurring was pretty well done too!

Entry A~ The lighting and the girl is pretty. Plus, I like really like the use of the green and gold colors. ^^

Their both very good; but my favorite would have to be Entry A. It actually involves Spring and has a "spring-backround" Entry B. Is an excellent signiture but Entry A would definally get my vote.

Entry A.

It was hard to choose, but Entry A has a great font, and size of it and the color orange was great. The blurring is also great with the girl, the background makes it look like it is making a slight breeze puffing up her hair in the wind.

Great signatures, but A is the way to go.

A is too gloomy. Totally not reminds me of spring and actually makes me feel kind of mellow because of the colour use and character. It reminds me of fall instead of spring.

B gets my vote. It's very good. It's bright, cheery, dynamic, active and nicely worked out. The character and background fit so well together, except for the typography and... those leafs on her back, aren't those Christmas things?
Anyhow, B. Yeah.

I love the colors used for it, and everything in the signature just fits well together with the render.

EnTry B.

Entry A looks good, with colors of green and gold reminiscent of...autumn or summer. It feels more gilded, with duller colors. Also feels like the girl is..somewhat getting squashed.

Entry B is fresher, with the flower petals fitting into the idea of what spring should be. The color used also feels more energetic.

My vote goes straight to entry A

Entry B is way too bland. There is NO depth. Look at the depth in entry A, the focal point (the main part of the sig) is crisp and clear, whilst the less important parts of the sig is blurred (perhaps a little too much for my personal taste). Entry B has no depth at all, which is disappointing.

The text in entry A is close to the character, so the focal point remains near the middle of the sig. It's about the right size, with the url underneath being a good size too. The colour choice is perfect. In entry B, the text is far too big and detracts from the character.

In entry B, it looks as though barely anything was done. Just added a few images together, slapped on text, and done. Also, there's no border even. The bigger-than-usual border looks good on Entry A. In addition, Entry B is a little too big.

In entry B, the lighting is all wrong. The leaves and text are giving a shadow towards the right, yet the character's shadows are inclined to the left. However, in entry A, it looks very natural.

I don't see how pink is the colour of spring at all. To be honest, neither sig boasts much in this aspect, but it's a difficult theme. I think the colour green relates to Spring much better then pink does.

Seriously, Entry A is so much better.....
