The sky brightens and darkens as i stare
into the cold blue eyes of a Sunday
So merry yet sad i felt on that day
A paradox i never thought would happen
On a day of liberty and relief

Sunlight pours from the heavens onto earth
the clouds emancipate and fornicate
their love darkens the sky and gives birth to
the droplets of rain that washes our soul
A wet and dark overcast it brings

The sundays of my life always carefree
now locked away in a prison of boredom
even the sun which could send a ray of
happiness through the small window prison
is locked itself in a prison of the day
