Because I Won't Give Up
Hello, it has been far too long. Soo, I don't consider this to be one of my better poems, but I haven't been feeling creative at all and this is the first poem I've written in what, two months? Well, anyway, it's been too long so here's a poem I wrote this morning. I promise the next one will be much better. This is just starting off anew. ^_^ And of course, I hope you enjoy and thank you for reading.

Because I Won't Give Up
Step forward and realize your potential,
don't slack off and do a bad job.
You have so much going for you,
why throw it all away?
Don't need more sad words,
nor the pity of others.
I'll straighten my back and open my eyes;
care to join me on this quest?
To find the happiness we lost,
while our hearts were clouded over.
But I don't plan to give up yet,
I'll fight on until the end.
They can say I won't make it;
I'll see shock when I show them I can.
Hold my head high and flash a bright smile,
no need for my hair to be neat.
Reach your hand up and I'll pull you out,
of the dark, deep abyss lying below.
I'll be the teenager who follows her heart,
without writing poems of sad.
Huh . . . who knew.
