Eh, 3D is really kind of overrated. I'll stick to my DSi XL for now.
... Unless the 3Ds can also make toast and water my plants. Then I might have to buy one.

Oho You beat me to it, Vashyron. Well played friend, well played indeed.
But yeah, I now need to save up 250 bucks for it...and I doubt I'll manage it. I'm so lazy xD

Remember Kaitou Kid is beast, remember that.
I am still pretty pissed about it being Region-locked but I guess singular friend codes compensate their stupid mistake.
Thank goodness we only get one friend code now. But I'm still reluctant to buy. I'll wait till the price goes down. Otherwise I might as well save up 50 more bucks and buy a ps2 compatible ps3.

That's pretty harsh. >_>

Yay for good battery life! Like if you turn off some settings it will take less battery and if you max out it will use most of it, especially 3D mode. Makes sense.
And last but not least a video, but we know most of it but whatever...

What. the. hell.
First of all, all first-party games(besides Nintendogs -_-) are not even release date games, they are 3 months away and not to mention all of them in the same day?
Someone hates their customers. >_> Not buying a 3DS in March, but I didn't plan to anyways..I was gonna wait.
The only game that seems worthwhile to play on the 3DS (at least to me), is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
As I known, GameStop never gotten games release dates wrong..Maybe a few mistakes with minor titles but that's it. So I assume this is Nintendo's plans. It's not like they haven't done it before.
http://kotaku.com/5745436/rumor-nint...tooth-keyboardThe Nintendo 3DS will get its eShop as late as May in Japan as part of a major software update, along with a web browser and the ability to transfer DSiWare titles, according to details coming from an investor meeting in Japan. Nintendo's eShop for the 3DS will sell Game Boy and Game Boy Color software, as well as apps designed for the 3DS itself, when it launches. Nintendo has already prepare 3DS early adopters for the possibility that the eShop might not be available on day one, noting that a system software update "may be required" to access these features.
Nintendo also touched on new and already announced software at the investor Q&A, including a new Kirby game from developer HAL Laboratory and Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing (complete with Bluetooth wireless keyboard) for the Nintendo DS, as well as Rhythm Heaven, Zero Shinsaku and Pandora's Tower for Wii.
These details are not yet confirmed by Nintendo. We expect a transcript from the meeting to be available online later today.
Update: The English transcript isn't live yet. However, the Japanese one features video of the new Kirby game on Nintendo's website, as well as pictures of the DS keyboard and confirmation of DSiWare transfer. Pandora's Tower is has been confirmed, too.
Honestly, why release the 3DS so early when all the goodies are later on May and June. D=
I'm buying a 3DS in March, prolly along with DOA. I don't see any reason to wait, because:
1. By the time a lot of games I want come out, the price will still be the same. So I get to enjoy the system.
2. The earlier systems are usually proner to being hacked and such. With the region locking crap, as a European, I look forward to hackers removing it and providing a way for me to do so as well.
3. I'll have to money for it by the time it comes out.
I'll have plenty of fun playing with DOA and the features of the system till more good games come out.

Well, in a way, piracy does push the industry forward. It forces developers to move forward and come out with products that keep impressing. If it weren't for hackers and such, we'd prolly still be playing N64 games or something. Maybe the PS2-era would've just started. I highly doubt games would be nearly as advanced as now. Of course, if everyone pirates, it would be a bad thing. But despite some games having 10 times more pirated downloads then sales, the industry is still doing well, and it doesn't affect many companies. If someone thinks that a game that sold 4 million, with 10 million pirated downloads, would've otherwise sold 14 million... they must be on crack or something. The grand majority of those pirates would've never even considered buying the original game in the first place, even if there was no such thing as piracy.
No, it's not about pirating games it's just trying to crack the device, that's all.
Regionfree or not, hackers where going to hack it anyways and especially for Homebrew...With Regionlock, there's more motivation on why to hack it

um.. let's not get too much into the piracy stuff guys, kk?
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
We're talking about hacking the 3DS, not piracy. But I guess me using "pirates" led to that, I'll fix my posts.
Anyways;

Best things about 3DS...
New Gaming Tags idea for handheld.
Graphics rival those of 360 according to sources form IGN.
3d effect
Bad things...
Price $250 sux
The system is made so that Nintendo can upgrade it and resale it.
Best launch games got "rescheduled", Icarus and Star Fox.
the 3ds might be fun but i am not going to buy it.
i heard from some people that you have to look at it the right way and cant look sideways or something that might be real anoying
the Ds 3-D is going to be a Good hand held game and it will be awesome to play
I have mixed feelings about this console. Though judging from the screenshots this could very well be as good as the hype.
How ever, all it takes is a low battery life to destroy a console...*cough gamegear* -_-
I forgot to post an article regarding the 3DS points, not going to look for it since I was looking at Kotaku on my iPhone and forgot to post it. A week ago, I mean.
They are making a separate card for 3DS, and that also means that the Nintendo/DSi points you have stored in you DSi won't transfer to your 3DS.
@truegamenerd: Well, the 3DS is going to have a lot of battery life, it's just "eats" up more when you're using features as 3D, the online system(you get notifications) and things like that. Turn all the settings off and you'll have a good chunk of battery life.
