How Long?

Pretty easy question. How long do you plan to be on Anime Forum and are you planning to quit anytime soon?

I'm planning on being here for a while, can't really give an exact day but I'll say at least three more years.

I love this place I know I have been known in the past to get up and leave for a few months and come back on some random day but now I plan to stay for a long time. I'll stop coming here when AF dies.

I like Anime Forum and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. The day I stop watching anime and reading manga is the day I will leave AF. This basically means...until the day I die

I plan to be here up until September 14, 2011. I'll leave at that point, because at that time, teed will have said something kinda mean, but I'll blow it all out of proportion and get way too angry over it. I'll sulk for a couple of months, but then I'll start talking to Fox from chat and start getting nostalgic about the forums again. I'll return April 29, 2013.

I don't plan on quitting AF any time soon ^^; I'll probably be 40 and still come here >.<; well....if my friends stay....if all my friends leave there will be no reason for me to stay here so that's when I'll leave. ^^

I left the moonie mail/TMdC forums due to me joining the service
back in 2001/early 2002.
But if I didn't, I'd be a well known member my now.
Back then I wasn't planning on leaving at all, I wanted to make
Piper and Ami~Chan so mad, it was kinda of fun being a troll back then!

But as of right now, I don't even know.
I'd be gone probably for another 2-3 years then come back.
This is just my attitude on all the forums I go to, not just AF.com.

I suppose I`ll be on here until I find myself too busy to post as often. I anticipate this in the fall when I start my long practicum, but that could be more like a hiatus - nothing permanent.

I`d like to stay as I just joined! I haven`t been a forum goer since high school and I kind of miss it, so I would like to stay. I used to be on Otaku Revolution in the early 2000s - it shut down in 2003 or 2004. Has anyone here heard of that forum? It was very popular.

Well as for me. Ill be here until the day I die or the site dies. Whichever happens first. But I dont plan on dying anytime soon and I hope the site doesnt either. Either way. Im here until one of us is gone. ^,..^

Alrighty, so I'll use what I've gained over the years to best reply to this thread. (I don't like to tell people where I've been, so I'll just use #s instead.)

Main Forum #1: I joined back in November '05, made about 15,000 posts. stayed for about a 2 years.

Reason for leaving: As most of the members left and the ones remained were trolls, the whole place became one gaint cesspool of flamewars. The PH levels became too high for me, and I left.

--joined like 50 mini forums inbetween-- (made about a combined ~2,000 posts on them)

Main Forum #2: Joined in December '06, made about 17,000 posts. Stayed for about a year and a half.

Reason for leaving: Sadly, there was nothing wrong with the forum, but it was paid for entirely by the people who used it. Given the economic turmoil that occured, Service of the site was terminated. =[

--Joined like another 20 smaller forums among that time-- (Can't recall how many posts I made on them accurately enough.)

Main Forum #3: Joined in January '09, a site made for the contiunation of the memebers that got dumped from the previous forum that was closed. Thus far I've made about 2,500 posts on it.

Main Forum #4: This place, Returned in October '09 because the above forum got a little dull. (talking to the same people with barely anyone new joining gets boring after a while, gotta spice things up. lol)

So yeah, there's just a breif summary of my forum usage. Basically, the only reasons that I have to leave a place is pretty much the ones that I put above. (trolls over-running site/site closed/forum goes stale and boring), Other than that, I'll stay as long as the Internet still works. =] ^___^
