Yeah, I started a thread about it. So, what do you like/hate/whatever about Twilight? Do you like the book better than the movie? Who's your favorite/least favorite character? And so on and so forth. As for me, I don't really mind it. The movie is -decent-, but the book is garbage. I don't hate it but I don't like it at the same time. So what about you?

I don't hate it, I just find that it basically ruined every vampire thing ever.

As for the movie, I saw half of it while babysitting. It seemed to lack a decent plot and had very little character development, really.

It's a Mediocre love story. Nothing to write home about or anything.

Twilight as a Comedy...Brilliant.

Well I've never read the book but I have seen the movie. From the previews it looked like it would be full of action but I was very disappointed when I found out the only action was during that one part...

Not as good or bad as people say. I read some of the book and it was enough to keep me entertained in detention, but I would never continue reading it.

Quite frankly, I don't like Twilight, and that's putting it nicely. Everyone is free to think what they want. Stephanie Meyer isn't a very good writer, and the movie series is a bit overrated. Vampires "sparkle" in sunlight?? I bet when Jacob showed up, a bunch of prepubescent girls wet themselves (lol, not my joke).

i read twilight and new moon based on a friend's suggestion and i didn't think they were bad. they were an easy read though. i finished them in less than a day. the plot was better than some books i've read and it wasn't too bad. decent would be the best word to use.

the movies i've never seen because i never got into twilight. after i read new moon, i dropped reading for a while and got into anime and manga.

But sometimes something isn't worthy that amount of words, but can still be accurately described in one picture.

I just think it's overrated as a movie. The only thing that really convinced me into watching it (never read the book) was Robert Pattinson. In my opinion, it's the presence of a mysterious tall handsome guy with a brain, that made the it so popular. Robert fits that role quite nicely. But I'm not a fangirl. Good grief, no.

As for the movie, I think it's not as cliché as other vampire movies.

No, that's totally right. It's just created a new breed of vampire: the glistening kind.

But, I don't hate it, I just don't think it really deserves it's popularity.

I had the chance to see half of the movie while babysitting my niece. I kept waiting for it to come to some sort of climax -- but it pretty much stayed monotone the entire time, and i'm not sure if it would have even gotten better than that if I had watched the whole thing.

The characters seemed way too 2D for my tastes, and I just couldn't really give a crap about any of them, not even the main characters. Bella seemed bored and disenchanted the whole time, and I kept wondering if Edward shopped at Ambercrombie and Fitch and went to dance raves.

... The "storyline", if it had one, was, I have no idea, bland? like it need some salt or something. Or, you know, a decent writer.

I myself,am not a big fan of Vampires.I never judged a book/movie/show,just because it had Vampires in it,I would look at the plot first.

Twilight is the biggest piece of trash to literature I have ever seen.Characters are boring,it's romance,they don't do vampires right either.

These characters couldn't even match up even to Archie Sheridan from Heartsick(That's pretty bad).

The books aren't too bad, really. It's the movies that suck.
I kind of hate how both the books and the movies play off of really hot characters, without giving them any depth. It gets more fame than it deserves.

I know I am going to get a lot of bad reps for this, but here goes nothing...

I HATE Twilight! There, I said it. Words cannot even begin to describe the deep HATE I have for this series. I grimace at the site of anything Twilight related and try to stay as FAR away from it as I can. The books are a disgrace to literature and its amazing how Stephanie Meyer gets away with basically writing these fantasy abortions that really are just an expression of her own suppressed vampire fantasies (the obvious references to Mormonism do not help either).

The movies are just as bad. Robert Pattinson is barely an actor (he sucked in Harry Potter, he sucks in Twilight and he sucked in Remember Me) and Taylor Lautner is almost as bad (he's funny, I'll give him that). Kristen Stewart...don't get me started on her (as a wolf, I would have killed her as soon as I saw her and New Moon would have been a rather short movie). The first movie was terrible. New Moon was an improvement, with better direction and better music. But the crappy as hell storyline makes me really not care about these positives.

Eh, I've never been a fan of the series. I can't actually say its really terrible because its decent and has some good attributes but its not really my thing. My brother really likes it though.

Catherine Hardwicke is a good director (she's apparently going to be directing the film adaptation of Maximum Ride); Lords of Dogtown is a beautiful movie. Chris Weitz has my respect for American Pie and About A Boy, but he also did that crap adaptation of the Golden Compass.

However, you get a bad story and a bad script, you get a bad movie no matter who directs it. Apparently, David Slade, director of 30 Days of Night, is going to be directing the next Twilight movie, Eclipse. While David Slade is a pretty good director, I hate the Twilight series (and view them as abominations to literature), so I doubt that there is really anything that he can do to raise my respect for the series.

I love Twilight ! I enjoyed the movies, but I prefer the books. The movies missed a few good parts, IMO. My favorite characters are Edward and Alice, and my least favorite character is Victoria. I'm looking forward to Eclipse . I hope it's as good as the book!!!

You say "The direction was better" which is in fact a different way of saying the director was better. Which I have to disagree with the direction of New Moon was all over the place all it is is a bunch of close ups and wide shots filmed in slow motion.
