The movie Kick-A is finally out, who here is going to go see it?

Myself I've never read the comic, but it looks fairly interesting never the less... and seeing an 11 year old kid slaughter gang members tickles my funnybone, and rage-furys concerned parents...

In the spirit of "Apocalypse Meow", let's deal with this by referring to the movie as Kick-A. While it's name is strictly speaking against the rules, it's marketed pretty hard so it's not like people are going to come in here being completely oblivious as to what this film is named.

Also, being the widest release film at the moment, I don't think people should consider the movie title to be "taboo" or "offensive" in any shape or form.

The boards are supposed to be PG, which means to adhering to basically what the FCC says can be said on a PG-rated TV-show. The PG rating allows for occasional mild swearing, and as swearing in general is not allowed on AF and this is an exception brought on by special circumstances, as well as the sort of insinuated form of swearing that constitutes "Kick-A", this should still fall into the category.

I don't really go to movies in theaters it is a little to costly for me. Though it sounds like a good movie.

I'm pretty sure even a soccer mom wouldn't get mad if her child said Kick A__. There's a limit to the amount of censoring one should do.

I see Kick A as Judd Apatow makes a superhero movie based on a comic book. It's trying a bit too hard to appeal to the teenage demographic, but I might give it a shot.

I remember when the comic first appeared, it was like Marvel gave out all it's best but it didn't have that inside dirt that DC would always beat them at, plus, their works were too science-fantasy, so on a dying attempt they tried to squeeze all they had left into making this one comic, which didn't get all that much attention.
I saw the trailer last week and the kids looked younger than they did in the comic, which is why I'm going to avoid watching it, I just hate those Denis The Menace and Home Alone movies(somebody kill those damn kids!!!).

I didnt even know it was a comic, I thought it was a teen spoof on The Watchmen o_o

Wasn't too excited about this movie since they started advertising. Maybe its cuz the costumes look like crap or because.. well.. it doesnt look like it has much to offer as far as something titled "Kick-A". I can wait for it to come on HBO or Stars.

The previews have definitely toned down the swearing and vulgarity since they first started showing. "Meh," and changing the channel is as much a response as it gets from me.

I would have preferred that it stayed true to the comic concerning the relationship between the main character and the chick. In the comic when he tells her that he isn't gay and she tells him he's a liar and basically treats him like crap. Instead they had to make some stupid romantic cliche Hollywood bull crap. Meh.

This movie has a lot of swearing and blood & guts in it. I don't think a soccer mom would be keen on having their kid see this. What else, other than a sex scene, for you need to say its not appropriate for children?
