High School Popularity

one thing was for sure, in grade school I was lucky if I had one friend. lol

On a scale of 1-10, I was probably a 0. But to give myself a little bit of credit, I'd say a 1. But only because I had some friends.

In school I had a really quiet demeanor. Most people didn't even know my name. But that's kind of the way I liked it.

Currently out of ten I'm gonna go and give myself an eight. I talk to mostly everyone and I don't come off as a person that likes anime. Before I moved to this city, I'd probably be a four with not as many people noticing me but with friends.

I don't really pay much attention to all that popular stuff anyways though.

I'd say 7. I wasn't too popular like cheerleaders or the dance team in my high school, but I was pretty much surrounded by friends. I never tried to become really popular, because I thought being too popular would actually stress me out to keep in touch with friends a lot and it would like it is a must to attend to so many activities to remain popular, so it would just distract me from my studies.

Depends on what people think is the most important to them. My sister cares so much about her popularity so she pretty much put all her time to make herself look radiant to grab attention, and spend so much time to attend this and that activity, and look less on studies.

Nothing against your sister, but girls who spend hours on make up really annoy me and I find it a turn off. I also don't like when girls obsess over being popular. Its just an invisible rank that won't matter much in a few years, but that's just me. I personally like a girl that's obviously decent looking but has a better personality over perfect looks. Like this one girl in my school is extremely ugly, but she puts on make up for like three hours and then makes fun of unpopular people. Like lol? How can someone that looks like an ape actually make fun of someone.

I was too different, so, i think no more thn 4/10. But when I had found more friends outside school, I found myself very popular.
So, if yoyu aren't popular but you want to change it - try!

I don't like popularity, never did and never will. Truth is, when I want I can make myself noticed but I usually don't. I usually mind my business, sit on my place and just let everything pass by me. I don't really like knowing lots of people anyway. So I'd say about...2.

since the junior and senior high are mashed into one school i have to roughly guess. i'm probably a 4-ish. within my freshman class and the two lower grades i'm higher up. maybe a 7. with anyone older, i'm like a 2. i have lots of friends and i can talk to most people.

known mostly for grades, band, and quiz team. not an athletic child...

Everyone in my grade knows who I am and all the seniors do too...but they're not really my friends. xDD I guess I'm like a 3 on the popularity scale.

In 8th grade I'd give myself an 8.7, but in High School (imma freshman) I'd say a 5. Not too good so far.

I don't care about popularity,but I'd say a 7.

I'm a nerd,but when my brother and I said we read Mysteries/Thrillers(They call them Killer/Serial Killer books),and read out of Dearly Devoted Dexter,about Dexter Morgan killing somebody,and describing how he cut off the fingers.

To add to that were twins,plus most of my popularity came from my brother.

I don't like those people either...So I always use my time to talk to my sister about the point of popularity. If you pay closer attentions to how cheerleaders act, it'd probably remind you of lots of American teen episodes which have plots reflecting the society of high school; how girls behave to feel popular, or whatever they wear to make themselves look like a popular queen.

I remember a lot of girls I know since middle school and we went to the same high school; they started wearing layers of make up since middle school, and spend so much time on the process of making themselves becoming popular. But now they are all in college and I see them more decent than before. I guess it is the puberty thing, which they think looking beautiful and being popular helps them to get boys, and after they do get a popular boy as a boyfriend, they become extremely happy. At the same time, they can be dramatic...trust me, they can be xD

In high school, I give myself a 9/10. But I was popular for all the wrong reasons =/ People either recognized me because I was the martial artist, or because of that one damn rumor about me that started back in sophmore year!

I always had random people come up to me and ask me "Sup?" And they don't even know me. I ask them, "How do you know me?" And their response is, "Everyone knows you man." I then ask, "In a good way, or a bad way?" They just look at me, laugh and say, "In a good way, don't worry about it man." Yeah right. I had a lot to worry about lol. At least everyone knew me as the crazy Chinese kid who knew Kung fu haha

Hmmm, exception maybe? I might have to throw a pass on that BUT I'd say it would depend on their attitude. Also, how can girls spend that much time powdering their noses and putting on eyeliner, seriously I may not be a girl but I would think it would get boring putting make up on for three hours.

Who knows, maybe its fun. You tell me, Is it fun lol?

i'd consider myself a 7.5 , and i'm a junior. only reason why a lot of people know me is because of ASB and sports and AP.

Same as bayamesa. I used to be really loud and get a lot of attention, but I've become self-aware so I really don't go on impulse anymore.

I'm not going to lie, I wish I was more sociable but at the same time I don't. There tends to be a huge pressure on you when you're in the "in" crowd. One of the problems that I have is that my three (close) friends and I are accompanied by people that I don't even know who the hell they are. It's people I don't care about and make my group seem like we're the Fosters Home for People with No Friends, which we're not.

I was in the 3 range if you wanna use a 1-10 scale. Though it really depends on which year you are referring to. The over all time is what I said, not so sure on individual years.

i'd say a 7. I have friends in every clique. Im in with the chooos, with the teatre kids, with the medical academy kids, with the rejects. I'm nice to everybody, so i think that scored em some points
