What I'm wondering is if there's going to be sex games. Any form of media's success can be tracked back to sex. If it weren't for pornography, DVD would not be where it is today. It's the reason why PSP's UMD thing never took off. If this Project Natal thing is going to succeed, they better call up Japan to bust out the eroge.

i don't like natal. yeah it's cool and motion control and blah blah blah...

i see this as a gimic to lure in the casual crowd just the same way the wii did. is that bad? no because more people are then into games but then you have a higher demand for playing tennis with your xbox avatars (kinda like playing wii sports with your mii) instead of oh i don't know call of duty or something...

i just don't get how this is gonna apply to the games i want to play. so far fable 3 seems like the only exception. even then if natal is required, i'll take my money somewhere else...

Except eroge(and for that matter, the visual-novel format) has never really done well outside of Japan. There's only a small handful of companies which license and distribute them in the US, and while they are able to stay above water, none of them do remarkably well. Not to mention they only distribute titles for PC, not for consoles as is common in Japan.

Therein, companies wouldn't be creating a lot of eroge for the 360 even in Japan, because 360 sales in Japan have been dismal compared to the PS3 and Wii.

I don't have the sales for Leisure Suit Larry or that terrible, terrible Playboy game that I never played because I'm too young (right?)but I remember that it did extremely well. I suppose porn games of any format would attract people.

Nothing is EVER too farfetched for Japan. This is the country where there are "tenga" commercials during cartoons. The country where rape games are an everyday thing. Thrusting your hips to a TV is nothing.
