[SigmaSD]

I havent written a poem in a while but I remember starting to write one before I lost my journal. So I basically started from the beginning with the same concept. My poetry is kind of shabby so I'll need your help. I tend to get a rhythm in my head which forces me to rhyme so I need help in writing some that don't rhyme. As always comments are always welcome and enjoy.

Roses are red, violets are blue,
When you're in love, what would you do?
We always believe that it will be fine.
But we can't foretell, so we go on blind.

The blue rose with an ominous glow.
An essence; such malevolent flow.
It beckoned me to fulfill my duty,
To woe her in; my lovely beauty.

But just as I thought that we could be together,
Fate intervened, and I lost her forever.
Standing near her coffin, my sorrow full of ecstasy.
Realization set in; our future now a fantasy.

The crimson violet drenched in blood.
Ridding its petals of such stagnant flood.
The lives of those taken by a lover's denial.
This love I once felt, my actions defiled.

I feel ashamed, but now its too late.
A complete change inspired by fate.
She would not want to see a vile monster.
One who was capable of such a disaster.

My world has stopped and nothing else matters.
Her image fades slowly as my heart slowly shatters.
Every emotion completely dead.
As roses are blue, and violets are red.

I accidentally used a coma instead of a semicolon. Whoops.

Thanks for reading my poem and I'm glad you liked it. I didn't use a lot of big words but hopefully the meaning of the poem comes across vividly.

@Novak: Yes I did mean to write it that way. In the poem I talk about the mythical blue rose which is said to bring the owner eternal youth and grant wishes and signifies love at first sight. The red violet is the blood covered flower when the lover slays anyone in his way when he's trying to get over his fallen love.

@Ultra_Maniac: That was my favorite stanza too.

@Nightixu: I'm glad you enjoyed it and I was worried that it wouldnt be as vivid.

@Tsuki: Thanks for the lovely comment and I would like to say that I wish I could write as fast as some of you but I'm messy when it comes to poetry. For example, the last stanza I jumbled up when I posted it. It originally read from bottom sentence to top sentence, but I reversed the sentence order when I posted it to add more of an effect.

Thanks. You wanted to read a poem by me and I delivered. Depending on the time I spend writing determine how well people like the poem. This one took me a while and people seemed to like it.
