Hmmm. I'll look, but if I had to guess I'd suspect it has something to do with the "preview post" button being right next to the "submit reply button," and that its effect looks similar, except for the whole not actually posting what you typed part.

I shot the origional poster a PM about swearing, but I didn't think about another post quoting it getting deleted. Hopefully he changed his post before it got modded.

FYI it isn't considered aceptable to swear on this forum even if the letters are replaced by something.

Ok. Is everything messed up and the last 300 posts from the game thread missing for everyone else as well? I really hope they didn't just screw the pooch with something forum wise. Or at least if they can recover the thread. Even if they couldn't put it back in the forum I could turn plain text into a series of posts for other people.

If you post something now that's cool. but I suggest that you copy paste it isn't something so you can put it back in if the forum reverts to earlier today.

It sounds like they tried to upgrade the sight and royally messed things up. I'm not sure what will be recovered. Though I'd saved some posts due to mods deleting stuff, so I think I have a post or two of yours Kitsune.

Though if they can't I remember stuff and hopefully we can just do a recap and keep moving. It'll mix things up for anyone trying to read the thread, and it sucks to have stuff you worked on vanish.. However most players don't go back and re-read stuff too often, so it might not be that bad.

I just hope everyone comes back

=) don't worry too much ss you have a great rep. People will cone back even if a recap is the only answer and if they don't the rp is better off

Don't worry it's happen to everyone due to the maintenance sweep. It has recently deleted all the posts between, i think it's May or March to yesterday. It should be fine in a few days or so, we might get the posts back but don't get your hopes up.

I'm glad to see the thread back, and hope all the players return. However I keep getting "The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later." messages every time I do something. PMs are impossible as a result, though I can read them as they get forwarded to my e-mail. I'm going to try getting this through repeatedly and hope it makes it.

Is this happening to you guys too?

If not maybe one of you could PM me your e-mail address and I could post you what I'd like put up in the game thread maybe?

I hope this is just temporary.

Whoa, ditch the forums for three days and this happens? Wow. Sorry for not posting in three days. There was internet security that was just put up a couple of days ago and now I having problems getting on. My computer at home can't get on but at least I have the one at dad's. Also, my Xbox 360 can work around the security and I just prestiged again.

Is your dad trying to keep you off of the site or is it just that a default settings on your new software has a problem with the site? If it's the latter I bet you'd be able to come up with something if you muck around in the settings (and/or set the site as "safe").

Also try browsing the site while not logged in and see if that makes a difference. The admin changed something after I mentioned the problem I was having above and now I can acctually post and stuff.

So soon I should start getting caught up on GMing after the mix up. Though Tuesday is my aniversary so I'll likely not be doing anything online.

I'm going to be on vacation starting tomorrow and lasting until the 6th of July. I don't know what I'll have for internet access during that time. Possibly nothing. Though maybe I'll be online after all.

Though some of you might be doing stuff as well. So have fun with that!

For those of you who don't know the fourth of July is America's independence day. Traditionally celebrated with family, parades, grilling, shooting guns, and setting off all sorts of fireworks. Though I'm finding that it's a holiday better experienced in the midwest. I'm used to launching mortars and all sorts of stuff. But out here they won't even let you use sparklers. Can't shoot either.

Can we just kill my character off? (or send her away on a boat?) I've been so swamped with moving out of my apartment that I haven't had any time to log on. (And unless your monsters are afraid of carboard boxes, I don't think I stand a chance! XD). Too bad too. Tamago, I appreciate the notice. It would be fine to have your character exit stage left for a little while, and than show up at some future time. (Or I suppose have her operate as an NPC for someone if you really want to).

Note that the new guys pace is pretty high at the moment. However for most players a post a day is a fairly common pace. Much easier to keep up with. We could get you with one of those groups or something.
