The only shiny stuff I will be seeing will be on TV. Damn glad too, it's snowing, and cold as ... something really really cold.
And, those people who watch the ball come down in person are crazy for standing in the cold for hours and hours.

Relevant to thread: I have one illegal firework from 4th of July. Might as well use it. Komodo Tsing fireworks are some of the finest fireworks dirty money can buy.

besides on tv the only shiny stuff i'll be seeing will be courtesy of my drunk redneck neighbors and relatives lighting off fireworks again...
last year they successfully caught my friend's eighty some year old grandma's yard on fire...
we're praying for no repeats...
