Favorite authors

It would be neat to know what AF members read outside of manga. So feel free to list your favorite authors (or books if you don't know the author). Hopefully I can find some new reading material out of this

For me it's : Kafka, Chbosky, Salinger, Pirsig (to name a few)
and poets: Bukowski, Plath, and Eliot, some Cummings but not a lot.

 

I also like Ellen Hopkins, I don't want to but I do ._.;

My all-time favourite author has to be Tom Clancy - his war books are just awesome and I can still remember reading Rainbow Six.

Ellen Hopkins is made of win. By far. Her style and ability to capture you emotionally into a story is amazing. D: I've read Crank and Glass about 4 times. I can't wait for the 3rd book. D:

Favorite Poet? Otep Shamaya, by far. I aspire to master the art of words like this woman. She can make a sentence chill you to the bone and infect you for weeks. She can make the cockiest and self-confident human being cower in a corner with maybe TWO sentences. If that. But at the same time, she can bring about euphoria so thick you probably couldn't comprehend anything for hours. D: Loooove this woman.
