aliens do what we do, we build spaceships and explore, now if we found a planet and observed them doing nothing but killing eachother we probley wouldn't make contact. as for this intelligent life not out there point i must disagree, too much evidence as i9 mentioned the log book of columbus, i don't think a ufo sighting from 600 yrs ago is a hoax. also religious text, we associate god coming from the sky and telling us what to do or giving technology, if you belive in god and the bible you really have no bases to not belive in aliens as there is far less evidence for any god than aliens, also the Catholic church has said aliens are real and are not to be feared preparing themselves for theday of contact so ppl won't lose there religion, thats why the govt won't tell us, how many ppl do you think will lose there religion if aliens are proven real?

Youve got to be careful though, its easy to photoshop things nowadays.

But alot of photo's studied by ufoologists and camera experts are proven real, so youve got something there.

Except, if they did that, they would be the stupidest form of life in the universe. We really don't advance all that fast, so it makes no sense to go to earth every day and see if we've invented something new.

Why? Interstellar travel is a pain in the butt. It takes frickin' forever, and costs a ton of energy. Even if they did go to the solar system to check up on us, they probably wouldn't actually go hovering above the earth. From an energy standpoint, it makes a lot more sense to create a probe that has an orbit that's like a comet -- it passes by earth every say 25 years, and the orbit is eccentric enough so that it goes far outside the sun's gravity well, saving a crapload of energy for the supposed space aliens as they can intercept it far away from the sun.

Also, do you have any actual NASA sources for your alien encounters claims?

I'll identify that UFO for you. It's a bolide (or possibly fireball). Basically just a meteor big enough to make it relatively deep into the atmosphere. I've seen them myself. It's pretty obvious it's no space ship when you see them in person as opposed to on tape. They typically visibly break up and fracture as they enter the atmosphere.

Lens flares:

Several of these are hexagonal, which is happens if you have a six-bladed camera aperture. Furthermore, these occur exactly where lens flares -do- occur. If you draw a line from the center of the photo towards the direction of the sun, the lens flare always ends up on this line.

Water condensation on the lens:

When you bring stuff into space, it has trace amounts of air on it. This air cools down, but when you cool down air, it can no longer carry as much water as it used to, so water condenses onto any surface. Like water droplets a bottle of cold beer when you bring it out of the fridge and into the sun. And yes, this happens in space. The photo appears to have been taken just after having left the atmosphere, which is recent enough for the water to be liquid (yes space is cold, but vacuum is a terrible thermal conductor, so it takes ages for things to cool down.)

So what you see is actually is the earth diffracted through the droplet, which acts as a lens.

i have to agree, if it's just us thats an awful waste of space,i belive in god, i belive god created the universe, i also belive in evolution, i do not see how it makes any sense for us to be the only life in a place so infinate.

Anyway, whatever Eris' opinion is on this particular matter, I agree with. She is the resident genius in everything sciency. She makes excellent points about the way aliens would observe our advancements. The only reason for them to make daily trips is for experimental purposes, and I think after 400 years they would have all the data they need.

As for space travel, I think it's highly likely that space travel is significantly easier for this alien race. There are theories that I've heard of that postulate that space can be bent to create worm holes in the universe, allowing almost instantaneous travel across vast distances. But these aliens are intelligent right? They would see that making such trips is pointless and prefer not to waste the resources on it, no matter how little resources it required.

I think there is life out there, but the chances of them having made contact with us already is pretty slim. The chances that every reported UFO sighting is legitimate is next to nothing.

no such thing as UFOs or UFOs visiting earth and abducting humans and shistuff like that... I do believe there are aliens somewhere out in the universe No UFOS though, Not yet at least. also these supposed alien sightings and ufo sightings i can explain them both.. see aliens are people, time travelers specifically distorted by traveling too far back in time, thats why there are no surviving aliens or aircrafts/timetravel devices and UFOS well everyone knows theyre experimental government vehicles. And i doubt theyre U.S or any big countrys UFOs either. Its probably north korea or the japanese building these UFOs... More than likely its the russians and germans though.

Roswells the most convincing story about aliens. Sort of like the 9/11 attacks, it was a huge phenomenon, with loads of conspiracies.
I dont think roswells been fully explained yet either. The government looked into the story and kept quiet. They said it was all just a weather balloon.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but yes, yes it does. Gamma radiation is pretty ubiquitous, and because of that, particle-antiparticle pairs appear spontaneously all the time.

Weather balloons were covered in mylar back then, which is commonplace enough now, but was really high-tech and not widely known back then. It would certainly have appeared strange and alien to civilians who saw it.
