Queen of the Fae

Now in the fog I am lost in the grey
Walking through time like a boat through the spray
All empty and barren as it bobs in the bay
How long has It been? I stopped counting days
But sudden a feeing in my heart it does play
Skittering soft to my mind now to lay
Confusion upon me as it burst in display
Revealing the Queen of the Fae.

So bright like an ev’ning star on the climb
Flashing in patterns and moving with signs
As she glides there’s a soft wave of her crine
I feel it trace patterns all up my spine
But I am a pilgrim repenting for crime
I shout “Do not stay or I will force you to pine”
She bends with a smile and speaks like a chime
“I brand you with water and brand you as mine”

And all of the fires of failure subside
Baptism by honey by the soft morningtide
My body breaks open, my soul it does glide
Shuffling off shell and sickening pride
And all of the fog like a curtain does slide
Revealing all the stars that collide
Into her eye as she breaks out in stride
Saying “now you must follow and I’ll be your guide”

I enjoyed this poem, not only because of the streamline of rhymes in each stanza (w00t, heheh), but how it reminded me of the "True Fae" from a White Wolf Game (uses d10) called Changeling.

In 'Arcadia', the True Fae could indeed rip out your soul and play with it, which is quite scary when you think about it. =o (The soul release in the poem reminded me of this possibility)

O.O this is so good. You put it together nicely and the rhyming you put in it continuing ~ AAAAAAAA, BBBBBBBB, CCCCCCCC ~ it's unique and makes it flow extraordinarily well. Great job ^^
