PS3 games

Well I've had a PS3 for a while, and yet I only have 1 game for it (RE5). I will be getting Tekken 6 when it comes out, but I'm wondering... which games are a must get? I really don't know which games are good and which ones are duds so if you don't mind I'm open for suggestions. I really like fighter games, but I don't like sports, nor racing games (same as sports?).

Btw, these are the games I'm thinking of getting, but I don't know if they're duds:
-Street fighter 4
-Fifa '10 (cause I'm a soccer fan)
-Grand Theft Auto 4
-Ultimate Alliance 2
-Virtual Fighter 5

Its only like 299 for a 120 gb system. And not only that, you can just replace the hard drive with a higher gb one, just as long as its compatible with the PS3.

I wonder if the PS3 would still cost a lot if blue ray lots the battle to HD DVDs.

i hardly think the price is prohibitive, its hardly more expensive than a Wii now.

anyway, those are some great games you've decided on but you should take advantage of system exclusives as well. Uncharted 1 and 2, Killzone2, inFamous, etc...

from what i've been reading in tech analysis articles you might wanna go for the 360 version of Tekken. Supposedly the PS3 version is horribly done, running at sub-HD resolution. Of course they might fix all this by the time it comes out. lets hope so

Every PS3 owner should own Metal Gear Solid 4. If you are new to the MGS series I'd recommend picking up the Essential Collection as well.

Definitly GTA 4, Metal Guear Solid 4 and Demon's Soul are a must if you own a PS3. And don't forget that one of the best exclusives of PS3 will be out in a few months: God of War 3.

Batman Arkham Asylum is an amazing game ..you should get that ..and Silent hill is great too ..and condemned is perfect ^^;

I play it in the arcade on saturdays, I play as Jack-6 and "mash" fokes.

I don't have a ps3. I'm happy with my ps2 and 360!
I'm not planning on getting a ps3 either.

For fighting games, I really enjoyed Calibur Soul IV. Maybe because it's easier for a novice at fighters, like myself. I hear BlazBlue is excellent, and you can't really go wrong with Street Fighter IV.

I'm thinking about picking up FIFA 10 as well. But I feel like I don't dedicate nearly as much time as I used to games in general but particularly sports games. Part of growing up, maybe.

One must have title would be Uncharted 2. It's one of the best reviewed games this generation. I've yet to open my copy, but I know it's going to be a fantastic adventure.

Also consider Metal Gear Solid 4. It's not my kind of game, personally, but the whole series certainly has a lot of hype around it.
