Hell no. There are enough people out there with the brain power of hamsters as it is; I can't imagine having a stimulating dialogue with an animal.

Pets are lovable because people can conviniently project their own fantasies on them; if they could communicate back, I suspect we'll hear things from them that we wouldn't want to hear.

Yes - I can just imagine, remembering that dogs have a very keen sense of smell, and are geared by evolution to find one anothers scent attractive 'by god you stink'

And also, dog murders would probably increase drastically 'is that my stick? throw the stick throw the stick oh you havent thrown the stick, the stick....'

As for goldfish, well that would be comic, as they swim back and forward 'i dont think ive been over this side of the tank before, i dont think ive been over this side....'

I would like to adopt one because it would be cute and fun for me to have a talking pet. Especially if that would be my dog!!! ^_^

Lol, on the contrary, I am well aware mice are far smarter than any human. So are dolphins - we bustle around inventing wheels, buildings, wars etc. and they just muck about in the water having a good time. A great plan really

actually animals can talk all you have to do is understand them but thats impossible for humans
