talking animals

if it was possible to have talking animals would you adopt them? and explain why.

i would cause my pets keep me company and it would be great to talk to them but weird too XD

I wish some of the pets I have had could talk... That'd be great. I think me and my old dog Ginger would have been even closer... Although, if your bond with a pet is strong enough, it's almost like they can talk to you... I mean you kind of understand what they want.

Nah, then animals would be too much like humans. It's not really having a "pet" anymore. And they would probably be really annoying.

Hell no. There are enough people out there with the brain power of hamsters as it is; I can't imagine having a stimulating dialogue with an animal.

Pets are lovable because people can conviniently project their own fantasies on them; if they could communicate back, I suspect we'll hear things from them that we wouldn't want to hear.

I believe theres a reason why "The Greater Being" limited certain animals to talking.

Sometimes I do. Then my cat could tell me where she's hidden my socks. Mostly though no I wouldn't want my cat to talk she can be annoying enough at times without the added bonus of speech.
