Demons Souls (Finally Got it)

Ok so i finally got Demons Souls from Hong Kong last week. Im so amped about it to.. I just started playign yesterday and find it very very very good. A bit tough for the average rpg joe but still playable.. i love it. For anyone wondering im a barbarian race and i still have the little club you start out with.. lol i keep dying. Anyone have any tips for me?

PS.. it makes it so much funner knowing that im with only like 1% of the American population that has trophys for this game on their PS3 already. Makes me so proud to know that im a loser gamer. ROFLMAO..

But hey back to topic here. What are some tips from soem of you veteran players, if none what do you think of the game? What is online mode like (havent tried it yet)?

Well I am a real rpg person myself and would love to play the game. But I lack the system to use it

If there's one thing more JRPG's need its MOAR HARDERNESS! i swear after i play an FPS on hard and then switch to a japanese game i'm like u.uzzZ

Why wait when you can be one of the few in the states that has an originale? for about damn near the same price.. depending on shipping in your area.

As far as i can tell its not very "brutal" as of yet. It does play on the "One false move and your dead" thing. Hence the reason i keep dying (Is not a RPG god). Full character custimization all the way down to skin tone and the size of your cheeks. many classes to choose from all with different abilities and what not (Of course). I have yet to do anything online so i do not know how that is ATM. I did not get a chance to play last night so i am still were i was yesterday no new news on anything else yet.

I wanna do my part to make sure they see a profit on the NA launch. if its successful then it means more good things for NA in the future. Thats why i've been putting off importing it even before they had any plans for an american release, just in case ^_^

i didnt know about the character creation, sounds a lot like a Bethesda game in that regard. I'm a bit worried about playing a western style RPG made by a Japanese team. The way i see it, things could go one of three ways: 1)they over simplify/stylize things making it feel too cheesy or JRPG-ish 2)they go off the deep end making things "hardcore" like those DS RPG's where you have to friggin make your own dungeon maps on the touchscreen as you walk around 3) they nail it

here's hoping its number 3!

Well so far my only complaint is that when you die in the first place you start all the way at the begining and they dont give you your healing crap that youhad back.. so really what you had trouble with to begin with just got 10x's harder. Rawr so mad at it.. desperate to beat just the first level.. lol im an RPG noob.

picked my copy up today and have been playing it for a few hours. beat my first boss (the phalanx). its a very demanding game, and i find myself yelling at my clunky little soldier every now and then for having to stop in place to heal and such XD

its pretty darn fun but its gonna get old QUICK unless they have more NPC's to interact with. its a very lonely game.

Lol well ive fortunatly upgraded my little club into a bastard sword... which is massively awesome.. its gottan me super far in the first level.. I have a question... in the first level theres this field with two dragons on a cliff next to it.. Should i be doing something with that or should i leave it be for now? IDK what to do cause last time i went there i was instantly killed by a flame attack in which i promptly threw my controller and shurt off the PS3. Some days im just not in the mood for dying.

dont go near the dragons. there is a little cliff where the fire cant reach you. run down it and you'll find some good items. other than that avoid that place for now.

Ahh ok... as i didnt not want to waste any more time there and i did not want to try it.. was just wondering if you could juke jive the flames and make it to that (im sure) very nice little item pick up thing in the middle of that seemingly inocent field.

If you time it right, and run past the dragon all the way to the end (and make use of the underground tunnel a bit) you fight another boss there, this annoying giant knight.

I am happily dying very often in this game, every day.

EDIT: OH! Use piercing attacks on the Knights legs, then go for his head.

yeah thats what you do for the bridge section where the dragons fire rush the path. i think he's talking about that cliff area, though.

i met the knight but havent taken him on yet, really. i just killed all the archers and then something came up so i had to leave. just been running out getting souls and upgrading stats and weapons lately. i wanna try out the co-op in this game when i take on the knight

Knight??? I havent even messed with any knights yet.. IDK if any of you noticed but im telling you this bastard sword is beast one hit kill on the low guys... Then again im a Barb so i might be one of the few that can weild it.. If you want to know how to get it... close to the beginging of the level you walk out on a wooden ledge and back into the castle there is a stone ramp and the first time you come here a guy rolls a boulder at you...well wait for the boulder to reach its final destination then go to were it lays.. look behind you there is a man in a spot that you could earlier see but could not get to.. now you can get to him.. and her has the magnificent weapon on him.. My walkthrough of this event thing is not very good but i hope someone got the jist.

yeah i found that sword. i can only weild it two-handed though. plus it has no stab attacks so i guess its not my style

the knight we're referring to the the second boss on that dungeon world. after i beat him i'm gonna take a break from that dungeon world and explore the others more. i like the mine level because the enemies give you tons of ore >=D

The knight turned out to be easy once you got close... just burade his feet until he falls over then slam him with my Bastard sword... beat him on the second fall.. lol ..


so ive made a stupid mistake.. the souls you get from the bosses...Yea ive been using them to get more souls to buy stuff... i just found out i needed one of the souls for something... to give to someone or something like that... Yea a little t'ed about it. Anyone messed with the two Red Knight guys in the second world after the first boss? Have to say hardest battle yet just cause i had only a small amount of healing supplies and was really worried about dying.. pluss they both took quite a fair amount of damage before dropping.

Just got this game. I exchanged Uncharted 2 for it because RPGs are generally my favorite. genre. Can't wait to give it a go.

I'll probably still get Uncharted 2, but I'm way more excited about Demon's Souls.
