Blaming others, there are some that do it and some that don't.

If your in a situation and you have the opportunity to blame a person other than yourself do you deny as much as you can? Or do you come clean?

I was thinking about this because I was blamed for leaving out a camera in my TV pro. class and got in trouble. More the less this is my most seriously taken class and it made me feel bad not to be trusted any longer. Me personally if I actually did do it I would've sincerely apologized to the teacher about being irresponsible.


So do you deny to save yourself or come clean?

I come clean . . . Usually.
When I realize I'm wrong, it takes me a second to process the fact that I, ohmigod, LOST!?

And after the few second pause, I look up with wide eyes, and say, "Oh 'shiznits' . . . Forgiveness, man!?"

But if its a situation that I really don't wanna loose (yes, I consider being wrong loosing D:), I'll make up some serious BS, like, "Yeah. Well-- insertlamoexcusehere!"

Or I just say, "Well you're stupid!" D8<

ME and lying go way back. and i wouldn't be lying if i said i know lying on a first name bases.

in no i don't try to come clean or all the lies told would fall apart.

Usually I don't come clean only if I feel sorry for someone but thats rare. But I do like to come clean at times when it's needed.

I don't lie. Period.

But that does not mean that I disclose everything. In a serious matter, of course I withhold no information. However, in a casual situation only disclosing what I need to may give me a slight edge; whatever that edge may be.

Sometimes I lie, if it will be for the best. In other words to prevent the outcome.

If I do lie its easiest to tell part truth with lies. Therefore the victim studies your lie (because you explain it as the whole truth) panics and starts psychoanalyzing themself and what their listening too.

Then they dont know what to beleive.

These are just lies for revenge. Normal lies to lie for your sake in which you intend no victim, are different.

I would tell the truth if it meant someone else would get in trouble for something that was my fault. On the other hand, if lying would cause me to not get in trouble and nobody else would end up suffering then I might lie seeing as it would ewan there would be no bad consequences for anyone because of it.
In short, I would lie to get out of trouble as long as it didn't pass it onto someone else. If it would I would own up to my mistake and accept the punishment.

Scapegoating someone is not fun to see or to watch. I personally would come clean! I can stand to lie to anyone, (Hey!! I have conscience!!!) and I really don't like seeing other friends/family member's do it to each other. So I would blab it out and come clean with it!

I'm unusually good at lying...I almost convince myself in my mind that what I'm lying about is the truth, even when I'm just thinking in in my head...maybe that helps...

I'm not a tattle-tale, though...I won't ruin a 'joke' somebody makes by sayin' "NOT AW! He didn't do that, it was HIM!" Not saying that's wrong, I just don't like being that one kid who speaks up about it...

I'd explain my side clearly. But some people prefer to scapegoat and not take responsibility of their own mistakes.
