Tales of Symphonia is my favorite hands down.
I also love the KOTOR series.
Xenosaga as an honorable mention. It has a great story, but the game play is somewhat lackluster, and don't even get me started on II.
I never play to win. But I do play not to lose.

Currently playing Mother 3 (Earthbound 2). Pure RPG genius its funny yet sad and deep at the same time. Download a GBA emulator, rom and translation patch now or risk missing out on one of the finest games ever.

Earthbound, what a great game! Wish I had time for Mother 3.
I prefer out of the ordinary RPG's such as the Shin Megami Tensei series, and Shadow Hearts 1 & 2 are my absolute all time RPGs. The antagonist from Shadow Hearts 2 blows anyone else out of the water, and the main character is just as awesome.
My favourite RPGs are Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts Covenant. From the New World was okay but it felt like it ended in the place where you are halfway through the first two.
I also like the Final Fantasy games.

Golden Sun, Tales of Symphonia and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. i dont even want to know how many hundreds of hours ive spent playing these games.
Fable 2 and if you consider far cry 2 a rpg then I like that too.

i know it's kind of childish, but i love runescape , the mmorpg. There are so many choices, quests, skills, events...its pretty addicting, lol

Mmm, the only ff games I've played are 7 and 10. they are both great, though I think I prefer 7, I reckon the story is a bit better. Is it true there's an HD remake in the works?
ff7 would defo be my top rpg - I much prefer console rpgs with a tight story to the pc ones - were it not for deus ex. The 1st one (which has proper rpg-ery in it). Am I allowed to have that one? If so it wins hands down...

I'm addicted to Fable and the Elder Scrolls series. Also,Tales of Phantasia, Breath of Fire, Golden Sun, Fire Emblem, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger. . .oh do I have so many.
RPG Maker- I completely forgot about that game. I like how the Example RPG was you (enemy)growing up to be a powerful boss. Adorable~

Hm, let's see here now. There's the pokemon games that I can never seem to stop buying, lol. I love Tales of Symphonia, pretty much played through it 8 times already. Fallout 3 was just epic beyond words. so now that I think about it, Probably Fallout 3.
