What made it so scary? I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't play games like that. >.>
But tell me what makes it scary. XD
well, i'm walking throught a dark prison with creatures hidding in the ceiling and all i have is a sharp piece of iron. it doesn't give me that much confidence to walk by
Oh, there was this one game . . .
I can`t remember what it`s called, because I`ve gone brain dead, that seriously freaked me out while playing it. uhhg, I can`t remember! Well, it was probably . . . the haunted mansion. <.<
anyway, yea. It freaked me out, because it was dark, and there were these huge spiders coming out of the walls, just turning a corner was freaky since there were spiders there trying to eat you.
*feel like crying, thinking about it*
Uhg, I hate being brain dead.
playing in the psp is easier because you don't get many scares in a coffe shop or the bus for example (i guess)
I just can't find horror games ''scary'' at all =/ only thing that gives you a shock is the countless shock effects they've put in the games -,-
Fear, Doom, Resident Evil (all)... pretty much anything in dark places... it freaks me the smurf out man.
I played the demo for Fear 2 at midnight in my room with my friend, not even 10 mins into it I was in a corner with my eyes closed.
all these horror games just aren't scary to me.
I'm going to have to say Resident Evil, simply because when I was much younger, I could only play it by sneaking downstairs at night and using the PC in the dark, which kinda crept me out when I ended up getting to any section where the character was alone.
The Tao of Rayne - Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience...if that fails, try something in the dairy variety.
The Abyss.
I played it when I was a kid with no forehand knowledge. All I remember is being trapped under the sea virtually unarmed with a freaky monster-man-stalker-thing.
"If a person who indulges in gluttony is a glutton, and a person who commits a felony is a felon, then God is an iron."
-Spider Robinson, God Is an Iron
I never found any game "scary", but Condemned made me jump alot.
I only get scared while playing the games until i get a fire weapon, after that it's Rambo style
Oooh. But I LOVE! the Siren series <3.
Yeah , at first i go like , "yeah whatever , i wont be scared , bring it on" , and then i am like "i wanna suicide , i dun wanna live" and shiver to death.
But i have a nice record in playing all kinds of horror games. Hell yeah i am scared, but that’s the real fun :P
Resident Evil series for example. In RE 4 , the part when the regenerator comes , damn , such awsome sound that creature makes.
Silent Hill series. SH 4 the room, it was the limit!!! I must say, the twisted , scary , unbelievable , not understanding stuffs , if i ever saw , was in this series. I always feel kind of lonely after playing this game , dunno , i just play a lot. It’s not good for my health...*_*
Forbidden Siren 2 and Siren , great atmosphere this game has. Totally worth my time. I can describe more or i will start to feel its atmosphere here , at my house ...X_X
That’s my top 3....
wish me luck for furture guys!!!!Thanks for everything!!!^___^
The first silent hill was creepy, the way the camera moved added to the freakyness, thou I havent played it myself. And this one star wars game I played when I was 5, in one level you had to wander through a sewer, and I was swimming through the water and this tentacle creature killed me from behind. I stared at the screen for a few seconds, quit the game, took out the disk, and never played it again... lol. Totally freaked me out. I've really changed, since when I see horror movies and scary stuff now, unless its extremly scary im usally laughing at the morons that seem to come with most horror stuff.
I played Fatal Frame 3 when I was younger with my older brother.
Can't remember much about the game. But boy, it scared me. @_@
On this day of days, most epic and prideful, you were born 15 whole American years ago!
Through the odds and by doing the impossible, you beat out hundreds of thousands of siblings in the great sperm race for the coveted egg.
Probably via hax.
Regardless! You won!
So remember, whenever someone picks on you or calls you weak or small.
Just remind them that you beat out a few hundred thousand other wimps.
And the grand prize was not dying!
Silent Hill 2 is the king of survival horror as far as i'm concerned. great atmosphere and the SH series approach to story telling is fantastic.
the most TEDIOUS survival horror game i've played is Siren:Blood Curse. stealth + survival horror = why am i doing this? the story is REALLY good but presented pretty badly. you gotta unlock the archive files and piece together the details that way, the cinematics only let you know as much as the characters know...which makes sense i guess

man homecoming was so terrible! it made me sad . at least the new one coming out for wii looks promising, but the fact that they REMOVED COMBAT makes me go "what!?". i wonder why the homecoming team was like "hey, lets make the combat suck ***" cuz the combat was friggin fine in SH 2 and especially 3! hell you could lock on, straffe around a target, and beat the bejesus out of it! multiple enemies werent bad either since you could usually move around to line them up how you want
in homecoming more than one enemy is often ridiculous. i will admit i liked the boss fights, if only the street combat didnt consist of running away from 3 dogs and an axe head thing forever because the A.I. never stops chasing....UGH!

Im going to say Resident evil 4 and Doom 3
"Groovy"
I'm amazed there have been so few mentions of Silent Hill 2 so far.
Anyway, yea, games aren't "scary" and blah blah, but the creepiest games I've ever played were (ahem) Silent Hill 2, and Fatal Frame 2. Fantastic games each, and genuinely creepy.
yeah as far as i knew SH2 was every horror fan's holy grail. but i guess its cool that so many people here find ultimate horror in other games.....i guess
i never checked out the fatal frame series, i hope there are pc versions cuz playing at anything below 720p hurts my eyes! i also have been meaning to check out clock tower 3 for a while. i still vividly remember the review it got in PSM. there was a caption about how you will never get used to watching a 15 year old girl get beaten to death with a sledgehammer, no matter how many times you die
Thanks to Wolley for the sexay siggeh! Good work, Wollz!
