Well as much as I am not an animal person I would say dogs, because they have a natural instinct to protect their owner/master. Plus it just has always been that way so why change it.

Thats not completely true, I was almost eaten by one, he bit me in the face, from my mouth to the back of my right ear, but I still love dogs, they are cute and cuddely and sometimes they do really funny things.

And I have a kitty who does the same thing with me. Yup, Atilla. A lot of the times when I'm on the internet on this website, talking to one of my friends, or whatever, he hops onto my lap to join me. Ahh, that's why I prefer cats. Because if they feel you need some love, they will hop onto you to say hi.
And for all those who oppose what I just said, you have to treat them as familly, not just animals and call them "it". They know when you call them "he" or "she" or "him" or "her".

Wild dogs on the street is a different story, I'm not scared at all of them but you get some mean looking ones, but I'm talking about home trained dogs, but I must say I do fear the type of dog that bit me, a few years after it bit me he killed my other dog, now that dog was my best friend we grew up together since I was 5 till I was about 15, then he decided to toss her around and he broke her neck I cried for days, so we had the other dog put down.

Also had an incident with some neighbor's dog on a dark Halloween night. (Yeah, Halloween, not the best night either). >_> I have no luck with dogs.

Thanks, you don't have luck with dogs liking you, and I don't have luck with dogs staying by me, I had 5 dogs in total I really loved, the first one died when I was young about 6 or so didn't know him for to long but he always stayed by my side he even let me ride him like a horse, my second one was the one I loved the most the one from my previous story, my third one was an old dog that we got from someone who moved but she was old so we only had her for about 4 years or so then she got cancer, my fourth dog sortof like the husband of my second dog he never liked me much but after she died we became really close and then he died from some rare illness, and my latest one I got about a year ago she was still a puppy when we got her she was almost like a cat, anyways we had to give her away because she and my brothers dog began to fight and because no one in my family really liked her except my friends and I, we had to give her away and keep my brothers dumb dog. Anyways didn't mean for this to drag on this long just wanted to make a point as much as I love dogs I'll never own one ever again unless I live on my own or with someone who loves dogs.

I don't like dogs. They're too loud and they want to eat me. I can't stand their barking or any aspect of them. It's either they hate me or they like me just waaaay too much.

I'll keep to the safer road with my cat. Yeah, cats seem to be my friends as well. O_o;;
