I think this is a very nice thing that Pixar did. I feel so bad. I herd UP was a good movie and very touching but I haven't gotten around to watching it. I must do so.

Funny how? Funny like a clown? Do I amuse you?

That's such a sad story. I'm extremely happy pixar did that though. I am sooo buying a copy of Up when it comes out to pay them back for their kindness.

wow this is new....... now i'm sure the world is gonna explode, the big company called Pixar grants a 10 year old dying wish, it makes me all teary eyed. but considering that Pixar went through all that dramma just to send some loser with a DVD movie for a dying 10 year old to watch as her last wish is touching. A small price to pay in order to gain publicity that will make them multi billionareS. while the girl dies meanwhile Pixar employes, plus thier children bathe, eat and poo money for the rest of thier lives. Ironic isn't it?

What a touching story. I loved Pixar before this, but my respect for them has shot through the roof. Poor thing.. at least she got her wish.

I dont think it matters what Pixar's motives were(IMHO they did it for publicity). They did a good thing even if it was for the wrong resons.
This is a Sig. It's horribly out of date.

It's amazing to me how because they are company so many people think they did it for a public view. What if they truly did feel moved by this girls story and wanted to give her a wish. Can't people be nice even companies with money be nice for the sake of being nice. I think people need to give the benefit of the doubt a little. I understand where you're coming from and it can be a possibility. But it's sad to hear so many cynics.

Wedding is in October. And I'm going to be a dad. Super excited.

I agree with janeiro and Mr. Nobody.
Tho it was a really kind act. But they had a hidden objective.

It could be entirely possible that the people at Pixar responsible for this are just nice. It's not that impressive for a publicity stunt - for a multi-billion (multi-trillion?) dollar company, this whole thing cost them maybe $1k, mostly for the airfare for the guy they sent. For such a simple request, why wouldn't they fulfill her request? Obviously the guy they sent didn't feel like it was an enormous waste of a day.

Perhaps the evil motive was of self-fulfillment through giving others joy. Eeeevil, selfish people they are.

    I agree with this

Pixar, is a multimillion (or, billion, probably) movie company that has made hit after hit. Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, etc and finally Wall-E, the movie that probably everyone liked.

Pixar basically never made a "bad movie" where 70% or more of the viewers said: "ew, this one sucks so much, I'm gonna make a bad review about it and let everyone know how much I hate this movie," no, it has always been the complete opposite.

So, why would a multibillion movie company that has never done any excessive publicity stunt in order to get people's attention to any of their movies (oh I can think of tons here. The day the Earth stood still made fake articles in the newspapers, some games were brought out BEFORE the freaking movie came out, for the Superman movie for example T-shirts with the giant S were sold while the movie was being promoted, etc,) make one now?
Pixar simply saw one of their fans with a dying wish and decided to fulfill it. Now they're getting bricks thrown at their heads for being nice?
Not everything is black and white like that.
