I read on another forum that Higashi no Eden or Eden of the East (whichever you prefer) will end at episode 11. I also heard that there will be a movie after. Can someone please tell me if the part about it ending at episode 11 is true?

Unfortunately, yes, it will end with 11 episodes, and there will be a film out to serve as a conclusion before the end of the year.
It's a damn shame they didn't plan to make it a standard-length anime (~25 episodes). Easily the best anime this season.

I agree, this has to be the best anime of the season. The last time I got this worked up over an anime was Claymore, and that doesn't even compare. I was actually amazed at the animation style.
Only one episode left!? T_T T_T T_T
Ned Yeung, A.C.E.
What?! No way!
It still feels like it's still in its early stages! Aw man! This was turning out to be one of my favorite anime seires, too...
Well this was news for me, haven't looked into it before. Typical, why does the promising shows always get so little, this show has a massive potential to develop far beyond what we have seen already.
It wasn't filler by any means. Each episode has had significance in terms of the introduction of the key players of the story and considerable development of our two main characters, as well as toward the revelation of who Takizawa actually is and why he chose to erase his memory. It is structurally perfect.
But Takizawa has now accomplished his two original goals, so it seems the movie will be about him stopping the plans of Selecao I & Co.

There are 11 episodes with a movie.
This is probably the best anime this season, IMO. Along with Phantom~Requiem for the Phantom~.
I freaking love this anime. <3 There are so many layers to it; so many directions that they could take it. I'm disappointed that it's so short.
You know, there's actually two Eden of the East movies coming out: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...ilms-green-lit I can't wait for both of them.
And the last episode of the series actually resolved most of the main mysteries in a very skillful, hilarious, and epic manner! I'm surprised as to how satisfying it actually was (though it left some things open and added a new twist...). So, despite its short length, I really liked it. ^_^
I agree with Ciao .. this has to be the best anime of the season. Episode 11 left me bewildered and wanting more. I just cant seem to get it out of my head. These movies better live up to the hype :P
Yea just finished watching the last episode. CanNOT wait till the movies come out. I hope the movies have a really kool stop motion ending as well.
