Fox's Photoshop Sigs

Weeeellll, after getting Photoshop CS4 up and running I've been extremly busy with Photoshop and many many GFX's site improved my skill, but it has been long gone now. I wish it was back up and running again...But oh well..Here are the signatures! I'll update it every day so it won't be closed as the other ones x.x

Thats only first round, I will update it soon! (Oh and Btw, I was a Moderator at Open-Designs, but its not there anymore, which sucks, because I really loved that site, but I guess Toups didn't have the current funds for it :/)

The first one is very nice smudging, but the light source...hmm, I'm unsure. While this sig gives me the impression he is in a "cave" or similar with walls on the side and the only light source in the roof, it does feel a bit weird. It might just be me though.
Text fits I guess, looks a little slapped on so it could be blended in more.

For the second one I think light is completely screwed up. The extraction is too bright compared to the rest and any source of light or indication from where it comes is non-existent. That would be remedied by removing the extraction, only working on it as an abstract C4D sig. The text looks also fairly out of place, even if the font fits with the extraction.

I've been trying to do a black and white signature so this is my first attempt:



(Dimension 400x150 B/W filter, and smudge background. Made on Photoshop CS4.)

The black and white sig is good for your first attempt. I do think that the text takes away from it though. It kind of just seems like it was stuck in on MS Paint. I like how you have the dark to light in a radial symmetry design though, but I think you need to blend it more so that the transition seems more natural. The black and white feel of your stock and of the back ground seem to be of different blackandwhite-ness. Dunno why though. Overall, great first try.
