Pikachu never will. But they will have another few episodes sprinkled throughout the next ten seasons.

Besides, even if it evolved, it would still keep losing battles because Ash can't stay good for more than a season.

No, I don't think Pikachu will.

They should make an alternate series or something, haha. Like a "what would happen if Pikachu accepted the Thunder Stone that Ash offered him back in Lt. Surge's gym?"

I don't really like these pokemons digimons and t.t. But I managed to watch a couple of series and I think he will. From what I can tell he will just try to save Ash from some psycho and will happen to evolve. That's all.

Actually I think he will evolve, but not really.

I think sometime in the future, whoever animates Pokemon will have a overused Idea and have some sort of alternate reality episode where Pikachu and Ash and company can see what would happen if Pikachu evolved.. or some dream or something..

but in the end, Pikachu is the face of Pokemon and as long as theres Pokemon there will be Pikachu.

The show fell apart when Brock left. It followed with an uncomfortable replacement (Terry) and a Lapras. I don't really think anyone cares about Pokemon anymore.
I hope the Pikachu does evolve so EVERYONE stops watching and the anime dies. Then there might be more effort into the games, so they improve and catch up with the times rather than crapping out the same pokemon with some more spikes.

actually they are not going to go anything to the game. It's one of the best selling franchises. All of the main games are chart toppers. There's no need to change anything.

I think he'll/she'll evolve in the final episode. It'll be an epic fight for survival that will save every living being. In the end both Ash and Pikachu will realize they've gone as far as they can together and seperate to follow there own dreams and destinys. After a tear jerking goodbye, we see pikachu walk off into the sunset (or maybe sunrise), and after Ash turns his back to leave, Pikachu evolves on his own without neither Ash or the audience seeing it. Only hearing the trademark evolution sound and maybe just seeing a glow.

Now I know Pikachus at the current moment are known to evolve only with a Thunderstone, but just as other Pokemon are known to evolve through friendship or love, maybe a Pikachus heart and friendship is much stronger and therefore a great friendship forged between someone like Ash and this Pikachu unlocked a greater power and became a new Pokemon.

...Now if thats not epic on a grand scale, then I need to watch more anime. lol

Yes. The first episode was "Electric Shock Showdown" and the second one was "Pika and Goliath".

But of course, I prefer "Electrick Shock Showdown", because that episode has the original voice cast in it. XD

Anyway, no, Ash's Pikachu will never evolve. And Ash respects Pikachu's decision, so he wouldn't force Pikachu to evolve either.

Also, Ash and Pikachu are very, very close friends already. And that's why I doubt Pikachu would randomly evolve out of friendship (although, Pichu does evolve that way in the games).

So, like I said, Ash and Pikachu have a special, very close friendship. Just watch the 8th moive, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, and you will see what I mean.

I think you have a typo here, but yeah I agree pikachu is cuter, and hes stronger then any other pikachu out there thats hes worth hes pikachuness, plus hes afraid of changing when he evolves and he might become more cocky
