Getiing tanned!!!

people in the summer tend to get tanned and its look like everyone went to the desert.
i dont like to get tanned. i think its useless, and i like my natural color.

I don't see how it's a fashion, or even falls into the bandwagon effect. And especially tradition.

And people get tanned in summer because it's usually hotter, and more UVA rays are out and people are outside more. Some people just go outside and tan, while others try and purposely get tanned. But I cannot and never will tan. I've probably got the whitest skin I've ever seen. I use to be called 'Casper' as a baby.

example if you take your favourite model thats tanned mine for example is Lee-ann Ligtenberg and make her pale how does she look? No that great as before.
People follow what the more accepted thing is like being tanned.

in my country people go to the beach to get tanned on pourpose because they say its fashion. not a lie x.x

I personally don't care for getting tanned. My skin is already dark enough as it is. Which is weird because the rest of my family tends to be light-skinned.

I think blonde girls with tanned skin look trashy. But anyway, I'm naturally tan because of my mother.

I don't purposely go out and tan but just being out in the sun after a while in the summer, you're bound to have darker skin.

I don't like tans [or at least purposeful tans], I find them unattractive. Unless they are done correctly, and the person doesn't look like she was in the oven on 400 degrees (women tend to abuse this slightly more than men do, it seems.)

I usually try to wear some skin protection lotion, but sometimes I forget to. It's important though, since I have a history of skin cancer in my family, and a death related to it.

I have fair skin, not pale, but mostly light. Although i've gotten a bit of a natural "tan" from being out in the sun (I walk alot), so my skin is a shade darker than it used to be.

I usually like to go out in the sun a little to get my legs a little darker (so they don't look white compared to my arms). But that's it as far as tanning goes...

I like the sun, but I would wear plenty of sun screen and enough to prevent from getting tan. I personally don't like to get tanned, because once my skin is tanned, it is hard to whiten it back to my natural skin color. I love whitening, and I use whitening skin cares, and do egg white facials twice a week. Getting tanned is not my thing, and will try not to get tanned.

Ah i never get tanned, i suffer vitiligo, a skin disease which restricts me from going in the sun. As you can imagine...im as pale as paper ^_^

Sometimes tanning suits people, if they wonna do it by all means, lol =P it does look nice sometimes though

Maybe 'cause people go out of there way to tan? 0_o for example, almost all the girls I know go to tanning salons, it makes them feel sexier.

Anyhoo, even I have tried to tan, but I only burn. And then I'm neven whiter after I peel. So I give up.

I don't purposefully tan my skin, but living in Southern California means that I basically get a tan just from walking to and from my classes. My skin is a relatively dark olive color to begin with and the extra tanning from the sun here makes me even darker.

I never tan, it's physically impossible for me to tan. I've tried it even. I just burn red, than go back to being my regular color.

Ehh, lets see I dont have to tan since my skin has a natural bronz/brownish shade to it, but during summers I dont have to tan either but i do still get darker to the fact that i dont crawl into a black hole, no im usually on the beach playing in the water like most people.
And then going on a vacation to a warmer country I think its quite difficult to avoid getting some sort of color even if its not a tan maybe more like a burnt mark, you still turn a bit red.
But I think tans are nice not the overly exadurated ones like the ones many girls have during the winter when its SOWING outside that scream fake!, but natural ones are nice.

I think getting tan is stupid. There's nothing wrong with being pale. I don't know where this concept of ruining your skin "being cool" came from. I think people who walk around with orange skin look like dumb[bleeps]. I hope they enjoy skin cancer and wrinkles when they're 30. :-D

I've never purposely tanned, but I do get tan from the amount of fishing I do. Though it's just my arms, neck and face.

I don't deliberately get tanned. I think it'd look dumb on me, since I have blond hair and blue eyes. I'm not a beach bum, and don't care for swimming.

My forearms are tanned, because the sun seems to burn me quickly here. I always forget the sunblock. I never wear shorts, so my legs are white like snow.

If it comes naturally, I don't care. You won't catch me working on it, though.

I sometimes get tanned so I can get rid of tan lines. Never too dark, just a bit of color to show I'm not a corpse. I do it by riding my bike with just swim trunks or play american football at the beach.
