well, i'm far on Naruto as any other who is up to date with the series. But recently i've re-watched, Fullmetal Panic, Spice and Wolf, Sword art Online, High School DXD (Dos ti-tees 0.0), and Code Geass. and once the file conversion is done (in about 5 min) i'll be going through Angel Beats. Trigun Remastered, Fullmetal Alchemist (both versions and the movie), Inuyasha, Elfen Lied, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Initial D are all downloading.
As much as i'd like to binge on it all this weekend...My truck needs my attention and it wont drive its self through them mud holes. Sooooo these animes will continue to me my before-bed things. lol

Really? I find Space Dandy 2 to be one of the worst anime this season. Its trying to be clever, but just feels like a trainwreck. SAO 2 > Space Dandy 2, and I wasn't even a fan of SAO 1.

Space dandy is awesome. The visuals are great, and unlike SAO it doesnt take itself seriously in any way shape or form. It's trippy as hell and has a comedic, yet very prevalent Cowboy bebop vibe going on. I don't really get what about it is trying to be clever. It's a simple anime with a fun, episodic pace similar to PSG, which I also loved. And, just like with PSG, the last two episodes will actually be serious and plot related. Also the fact that every episode has a different director makes it very interesting, to me at least. I understand that it's not for everyone and I know enough people who don't like space dandy, but to say that it's worse than SAO is over the line for me.

I could write a million paragraphs about why SAO is bad, and why its entire concept is tired shounen bullsh*t that has been done a million times before, but I won't. I'll try to put it into a few words though.
SAO is no better than any other shounen like bleach, naruto, one piece, Index, Fairy tail, etc. All of those feature bland teenage boy MC who have a special power because reasons and that makes them super important.

The main problem with SAO and its second season are, to me, the fact that the protagonist is completely generic, a gary stu of the worst kind (girls gladly die for him because they love him? Get the f*ck outta here.), and the story is nothing new(for shounen standards at least). His personality is bland as f*ck too, so that every lil' retard can self insert as the cool guy who gets all the cute girls and action. The fact that Kirito, in season two, gets to use a sword again instead of having to learn to use a gun (which might've actually been fun to watch) ruins it for me. Also he's a girl now. Why? Pandering, nothing else. Same reason he gets to use two swords in S1. It's to make him special without him actually having to do something.

The fact that he's even involved in a goddamn murder investigation at all is stupid and a major fault in the plot. I wouldnt mind him getting involved in video game hijinks again, but he's hired by the goddamn government. What the flying f*ck? Any government in a functional universe would at least take down the game servers and have experts analyze all the data traffic to find out who the killer is and how he operated. Imagine if, in real life, someone started to announce murders in WoW. The FBI would force blizzard to cooperate fully ASAP. Not In SAO, though. They'd rather hire a teenager because, you know, he was already in another online incident (lets ignore it was a completely different situation though.)

Talking about the killer, the entire death gun plot is retarded. I wont spoil it because I dont know how far the anime is right now but I have read the novels, and lets just say there's no reason for a death gun character to even enter the game and fire a gun at his victim. It's just there to tie the story in with videogames, but it makes the murderer a million times more suspicious and again, in not a single sane universe would anyone ever do this. I wouldn't normally mind if this in some funny, happy go lucky anime, but as I said, SAO takes itself too serious to ignore. There was lots of stupid plot stuff in Black Lagoon, for example, but it's easy to ignore how edgy it is because there's always a tongue in cheek tone to it.

All in all, I might be a bit harsh. SAO and its second season are definitely things you can watch and enjoy if you turn your brain off, but it´s so terribly generic that it will never be anything more than that one flavor of the month anime that anime fans obsessed over and then forgot.

To add to that, an anime that actually does the "stuck in a videogame" better is Log Horizon (I hate that too but I'll give it credit where credit is due.)
