Apple pulls baby-shaking game from iPhone

Well, i've never owned an iPhone, iPod or i-anything, so I never knew about this until my friend showed me the article.

A $0.99 iPhone game has been pulled from the Apple Store after generating a wave of controversy for its tasteless (yet undeniably righteous) subject matter. The App's called "Baby Shaker" and is, as you may already have guessed, a game in which you must use the iPhone's motion sensitivity to shake babies in a bid to stop them crying.

"On a plane, on the bus, in a theater," reads the App's description. "Babies are everywhere you don't want them to be! They're always distracting you from preparing for that big presentation at work with their incessant crying. Before Baby Shaker, there was nothing you could do about it. See how long you can endure his or her adorable cries before you just have to find a way to quiet the baby down!"

Wow, wonder what super game-programming genius thought this one up. I'm sure it's quite educational for new mothers, too!

I'm against the game, but only on the grounds that it has little going for it in terms of gameplay, as opposed to say, Grand Theft Auto. A blatantly offensive game should at least be unapologetically amusing.

Grand Theft Auto isn't that bad, to be honest. All it is is rude language, racism, and violence. Everyday life basically.

I have never actually thought of shaking a baby. But I have thought of tripping loud, annoying kids in supermarkets ... although I don't think that's much better, lol.

But it would make a damn fun game.

I don't care that people make these games, as tasteless as they are. But they should be prepared for the outcry from the public. Inevitably, someone's sensitive and delicate morals are in danger.

It'd be easier to just kill that person and keep rolling with politically incorrect games.
